Emergency Preparedness - It's in the Bag

Living in California, I'm constantly hearing about the need to prepare for "the big one". So I periodically pick up distilled water at the grocery store. Flashlights. Some power bars. However, a week later, the water is in my daughter's fish "Sparky's" fishtank, the power bars are in the bellies of half the kids on the block, the flashlights have been stripped of their batteries in order to re-juice the TiVo remote, and I am back at square one.

That is why I love Emergency Cafe. They offer one stop shopping for all your disaster preparedness needs. What a huge relief for busy moms like me, who hardly have time to buy toilet paper, let alone all the items we'd need in an actual emergency.

Cari Butler, the woman behind Emergency Cafe, is a disaster preparedness expert, and a busy mom. She understands how hard it is for most of us to assemble and organize critical emergency supplies for our families. So she came up with a solution. Cari, who also teaches seminars and consults with several celebrity clients, sells pre-packed kits to busy families nationwide. She has thought of every detail, from water purification tablets, to first aid, food and search and rescue supplies.

I was surprised when I realized that the cost of the kit's ingredients, is actually less than you would spend driving all over town, trying to assemble it all yourself. I also love that it is all self contained in a high quality backpack or duffel, which is less likely to fall prey to those little snack and battery raiders. So sorry Sparky!

MWS readers, email Cari at info@emergencycafe.com when you place your order for a deluxe 4 person kit and you will receive a free earthquake guidebook that will help you and your family prepare a plan for an emergency . Even better than this offer, you will have the peace of mind of knowing you are prepared. That is a feeling any mom can appreciate.
