Toddler in Hand, Tote by Halsea...

Something about the conch shell print "China Cove" luggage and accessory collection by Halsea, has bewitched me. The colors and the shapes are simple - effortlessly pretty and unpretentious. Retro-preppy meets the Malibu shores. But magically, like an unexpected whiff of ocean breeze, the design has the power to transport me (if only for a mental moment ) to a chic vacation destination.
Which is just one reason why I am in love with their cosmetics case, and have made it my new, compact, go-to toddler tote.
Yes I know it was originally designed for creams and potions having little to do with the diapering area, but it's just the perfect size for diapering essentials, and a spare outfit for my 2yo son. I predict that when he is potty training, I will not go anywhere without this tote. I'll just look to this bag and its calming powers, whenever I feel myself losing patience with his inevitable accidents.
The exterior of the bag is a tough laminated canvas, much like you would expect on a high quality purse or luggage item. And the interior is also lined with plastic (over a shell-like pink satin). That makes this bag totally waterproof. Four interior pockets keep you organized and the bag, although tiny, is not lacking in big-bag quality details. Metal feet protect the bottom and jewelry-like zipper pulls decorate the exterior like the perfect little charm bracelet for a day at the club. I can see this little bag and me, taking lots of beautiful vacations together in the years to come. Long after my son has earned his Superman undies.
I would be remiss if I did not mention that this entire line of Halsea China Cove luggage is gorgeous and covetable. I've almost convinced myself that I can overcome my complete and utter lack of hand-eye coordination, just so that I can have an excuse to buy their tennis racket cover.
