Here’s a cute holiday gift for the younger Wii users that just released on October 14th.
Penny Racers Party is a racing game (duh) that allows you to customize the car you race with info various officially licensed cars including Honda, Nissan, Mazda and Toyota. And you are literally racing penny racer sized cars.
We had a hard time with it at first – the menu posed a challenge for us, but only because it uses some different buttons than we’re used to. (If you check this game out – everything’s with the 1 and 2 remote button). Once we were in, the racing portion’s really easy. Of course I have to compare this to Mario Kart since we play that so often – I think this game is easier (once you’re at the actual race). It doesn’t really let you lose or go too slowly, so I think it’s a fun and good one for the younger Wii players.
It just released and is selling on Amazon for $29.99.

Obviously for girls, it’s a cute little game that allows the user paint nails, put on make-up and design your own clothes. It’s $29.99 on Amazon.

Not to belabor the point (get it? be-labor? Anyway..), but I’m always happy to wear cute maternity clothes that indicate that I am, in fact, preggo, and not just chubby. That’s why I’m having so much fun wearing my new Tummy T.
I can’t tell you how many people smile when they see me in this shirt, although my daughter thinks my baby-to-be actually looks like this and will be very disappointed to learn that newborns aren’t nearly as cute!

Spoiled Mama, Spoiled Baby

I had the opportunity at the recent Mom2B show in Los Angeles to sample some of the products from The Spoiled Mama and The Spoiled Baby . They are skin products made from all natural, organic ingredients. You could eat this stuff – not that you would, but it’s nice to know.
There is a wide array or lotions, creams, oils and even tea to choose from, whether you need some help for your itchy preggo tummy or some soothing wash for your baby’s skin.
One cool product they offer is Nipstick. It’s perfect for those early days of nursing when your nipples can get cracked. No more squeezing the greasy stuff out of a tube. The Nipstick is self-contained in a push-up tube so your fingers don’t touch it. It melts on contact and, like all their products, is all-natural. I’ve watched the movie with my daughter a few times and I actually didn’t mind watching it and she loved it! I have to say the animation in the movie is incredible! Some of the characters seem almost lifelike and the color and picture quality is sharp and quite impressive.

The Transformer Potty, Presented by Flippee!

Flippee is going to make your life so much easier, and cleaner.
Ask any mom of little boys about how she cleans the bathroom, and she will start to list the tools. There’s the toilet cleaner to be sure, but then there is also the wall cleaner, the floor cleaner, the laundering of drapes and towels (if you are foolish enough to leave any of this in firing range). The other day when my son used the bathroom at my parent’s house, someone had to accept that they were never going to finish that suduko puzzle in the basket next to the throne. That newspaper took one for the team!
In order to hone their aim, there are any number of commercial “targets” available. Or you can try the old Cheerio trick. “Pee on the Cheerio honey! Atta Boy!”.
However, you know what happens the minute the phone or the doorbell rings, or their sibling runs by the bathroom, or they see a fly? That focus is gone and you can get out all your cleaning tools. Again.
Unless you have a Flippee. This clever invention sits unobtrusively on your potty at all times and flips up when your son (or other male inhabitant of your home) uses the toilet. It’s essentially a big shield that keeps things contained to the appropriate area. The Flippee pops onto your toilet in seconds, secured by suction cups. We call ours the “Potty Transformer”. It reminds my son of his Transformer toys that flip up and down into different configurations. Hey, if calling it a Transformer means less wall scrubbing for me, that’s fine! I’m even willing to decorate the outside with stickers! Cleaning the Flippee is far easier than cleaning the whole room. We just keep some antibacterial wipes under the sink for use when needed.

Wagamama Blankie Ball, Why Didn’t I Think of That?

It’s a baby blanket. And it’s a soft cuddly ball to toss. It should have been obvious, given how we moms are always shoving a balled up blanket into our bags. But leave it to the team at Wagamama baby to have the lightbulb moment of figuring out a way to sew a little stretchy round “case” on the back side of the blanket that allows you to stuff the blanket into it, creating a perfect little playful sphere.

Looking for something a little different than the usual? International Playthings sells a ton of great toy lines, including toys from Tomy. The Tick Tock Answer clock caught my eye as I’m trying to teach my oldest the concept of time (and how to tell time).
We already have the Hide & Squeak Eggs, which have been a long-standing favorite in our house for awhile now – I think the Easter Bunny brought them a few years ago. They are 12 mo.+ but have been played with by all ages in our house.

Fancy Nancy Posh Bedroom Game

If your daughter loves Fancy Nancy books, then she will be thrilled to play the Fancy Nancy Posh Bedroom Game! Each player receives a room board that has overlays which flip down to redecorate Fancy Nancy’s bedroom from plain to posh! Then, the player receives 4 cards that may consist of purple “Let’s Get Fancy!” cards, pink “Accessories!” cards or blue “Oops!” cards. You then decide which card you want to play. You must play the purple “Let’s Get Fancy” cards before you can start decorating. The pink “Accessories” cards allow you to roll the color die and decorate a section of your bedroom game board. The blue “Oops” cards stop your opponent from decorating her bedroom game board.
I read the directions to my 5 year old daughter and we began playing immediately – helping bring in Nancy’s fancy accessories to makeover her posh bedroom. My daughter was ecstatic that the directions state the youngest player goes first. We had fun playing together and somehow she won. I think she just got lucky. I’m not a sore loser or anything!!!
If your daughter enjoys reading Fancy Nancy books, then she will love this game. It makes a great gift for a birthday or for the holidays. It’s recommended for ages 5+ but my daughter has played with 4 year olds who have picked it right up! Purchase it today.

I am a HUGE NFL football fan. Every Sunday my whole family gets in our Eagles gear to show our spirit and get ready for the game.
