Back in April I wrote a review on a product called Baby Plus. Baby Plus is a unit that you wear around your pregnant belly that emits a series of 16 scientifically designed sounds that resemble a mother’s heartbeat. It is a prenatal education system to help your child get a jump-start on learning, while they are still in the womb.
BabyPlus babies and kids are known to have many of the same positive traits. For example, BabyPlus babies at birth and infancy:
* More readily nurse
* Have increased ability to self soothe
* Are more interactive and responsive
* Are better relaxed and alert at birth
And later in life, these children demonstrate:
* Earlier developmental milestones
* Improved school readiness
* Enhanced intellectual abilities
* Greater creativity and independence
* Longer attention spans
Though I was skeptical of how much value I would receive from the Baby Plus system, I do have to say that my 4-month old son is a joy and pleasure and exhibits many of the traits described above. He is an extremely relaxed and happy baby (we like to call him laid-back) and has been since birth. He is extremely interactive and responsive, making amazing eye contact, enjoying interacting with other people, and making many advanced sounds (according to a speech therapist). I can’t speak for some of the skills Baby Plus babies generally exhibit later in life, but I hope that he exhibits many of those as well as he continues to grow.
Though I don’t know whether Baby Plus was entirely responsible for my happy, engaged baby, or whether it is some other genetic/environmental reason, I can tell you that if I ever become pregnant again, I will certainly use Baby Plus again. I think it is a wonderful product for all pregnant women.

I know what you mean. I used it with my first baby and don’t have anything to compare her to. Was it BabyPlus? I don’t know but I don’t want to take a chance with the next one! We weren’t able to get nursing but that’s another story. Everything else seems to be right. My sister is using it now so we’ll see!
