Who: Whitney -- Editor & Founder

Mommies with Style was founded by Whitney in late 2004. Prior to Mommyhood, Whitney worked in the high-tech industry for seven years as an Online Producer and Editor. She's been published in the Hartford Courant, worked for CBS and NBC news stations and edited many a story.

Currently, she spends her time managing Mommies with Style and blogging her weekly column on Disney's Family.com. Her work has also appeared on the Celebrity Baby Blog, Savvy Mommy, Clever Parents, Chic Blvd, Car & Caboodle, Design Public and she currently has a piece in the works for Nickelodeon's Parents Connect.

When she's not busy doing all the above (phew!), she's busy with her most important job - running around being a Mom.



Who: Julie - Senior Writer & Newsletter Editor
Where: western suburbs of Philadelphia, PA

Pre-children, Julie taught elementary school, and, prior to that, Julie worked in marketing for Pizza Hut and Long John Silvers.

Julie earned her BA from SMU in Corporate Communications and Public Affairs and her MEd. at Arcadia University.

Who: Ciaran -- Senior Writer & Columnist
Where: Orange County, CA
Kids: 2 girls - born 1996 and 2000, 1 boy - born 2004, another boy on the way in 2008
Etc: a cat, a dog and two smelly turtles that plan to live forever just to spite her.

Her other baby is her clothing line - Little Lubbaloo. In addition to being obsessed with childrens clothing, Ciaran has a particular passion for ingenious strollers and fine european children's shoes. And she is always thrilled to find a new goody or deal for herself or her kids, and to tell all her friends about it. She joined the Mommies with Style team in early 2006. She's also aSenior Contributor and Reviewer at the Celebrity Baby Blog.

Who: Debbie - Senior Writer
Where: suburbs of Philadelphia, PA
Kids: 1 girl, born 2003 and 1 boy born 2007

Debbie enjoys shopping, photography, shopping, scrapbooking and did we mention, shopping? Prior to mommyhood, Debbie worked in advertising as a media buyer/planner for 5 years and now works part-time as an account executive for a national photography studio. She enjoys the mix of getting to stay at home and working outside of the house.




Who: Nancy - Senior Writer
Where: New York City, NY
Kids: 1 boy, born 2005 and 1 girl, born December 30, 2007

Nancy has worked at the Food Network on "Emeril Live" and two of Robin Leach's shows, as well as Fox5's The 10:00 News.

She gave that all up in 1999 to become a NYC Elementary School teacher. On extended maternity leave since fall 2005, she spends her days in the park with her toddler, teaches two college night classes and also writes reviews for The Celebrity Baby Blog.

In her free time, Jen spends way too much time playing online, taking lots of photos of her boys and pets & watching fun reality TV. Prior to becoming a mommy, Jen spent over 10 years doing marketing and event planning.

Who: Zareen - Writer
Where: suburbs of Philadelphia, PA
Kids: 1 boy, born 2004 and 1 girl born in 2006
Etc: a cat and a business, The Associates Advertising, a full service advertising agency focused on the retail market, run with her husband.

Shopping is not only Zareen's guilty pleasure but an integral part of her career. As a full-time mom and part-time business woman multi-tasking is essential. As such, a large part of her life is spent online.

Kate Bayless is a former high school English teacher who now works as a writer, reviewer, manuscript editor, and research analyst. In between writing gigs, she fills her days with multi-act puppet shows, fierce battles with laundry piles, and trying to break her addiction to soy lattes. Who: Tanya - Guest Writer
Where: Brentwood, TN
Kids: 1 girl, born 2004, 2 boys, born 2005 and 2007

While Tanya was actually born in Germany, she considers herself to be true G.R.I.T.S. (Girl Raised In The South.) She is a University of Tennessee grad who studied International Business and German. After diverse careers in Automotive Finance and Healthcare Administration, she now enjoys her most challenging and rewarding role as full time Mommy.

Etc: two rescued furbabies, Garbo, a pit mix, and Gable, of indeterminable origin.

Before mommyhood, Cheryl covered Major League Baseball - including the 2002 World Champion Anaheim Angels - for various newspapers.

She is originally from Connecticut, but has lived in New York state, New York City, Boston and South Florida before settling on the Left Coast. She loves to run and ran her first marathon in the fall of 2007 in San Francisco.
