Making Air Travel Easier....

When my husband and I recently planned a few trips that involved flying with our daughter, we knew that we needed to find a way to lug our Britax car seat through the airport. After an extensive search, we came across the Pac Back at One Step Ahead. What a fabulous product! This clever backpack carrier holds your car seat securely on your back, leaving your hands free for your toddler.

We couldn't believe how comfortable it was to wear on our backs thanks to the padded shoulder and waist straps, hip protectors, and lumbar support. It was very easy to take on and off and has quick-release buckles. It's fully adjustable so that it can fit both mommies and daddies.

It supports car seats and boosters up to 45 lbs. Fellow passengers and flight attendants alike commented on what a great idea the Pac Back was and they wanted to know where they could find this unique product. Freeing up your hands was never so easy!

Use code "babysave" for 15% off your purchase of $75 or more.

Splish Splash! 15% Off for Your Bath

Like most mommies, my days of long, luxurious bubble baths have gone the way of sleeping in, ultra low-rise jeans and vehicles that seat less than a sports team.

Incidentally, I did manage to take a bubble bath the other day. But my oldest was sitting on the potty (just a note: we do have two other bathrooms!) needing to carry on a conversation with me right at that moment, my youngest was standing next to the tub playing in the water (doing her best to try and climb in with me), and as a bonus, my four-year-old (never one to miss the fun) was in the bathroom too ... although it seemed with no particular agenda other than to keep us all company. So while it was kinda long, I guess it really couldn't qualify as luxurious.

Your tub time may be a light-speed shower squeezed in at nap time, or a bath as private as a trip to the store. But regardless, you have to get clean ... you may as well have some fun products to make your splish splashing time seem a bit sweeter. So check out Not Soap Radio's selection of treats. Their products will not only make you smell great, their quirky, upbeat packaging will make you smile.

I LOVE the Say it With Suds greeting card bath and shower gels. These
all-natural, shea-butter-enriched, vegan formula gels have a happy, affirming message on each bottle. There is something for everyone in your life who might need a little pick-me-up, including baby-sitters, dads, teachers, moms, babies and more. The baby lotion is lightly fragranced with vanilla and lavender, and gentle enough for newborns.

My two boys were quite enthralled with the Kids' Bubble Bath Goop, a downright icky, slimy substance that kids love playing with, but that turns to bubbles when it's run under water. Recently featured on the Today Show, it comes in kid-friendly scents and packaging with names like I am Mad, Monsters Be Gone and My Favorite Blanket.

And don't forget to check out the Cocktail Party Lipglosses. Each one has it's own mirror and comes in lip-smacking flavors like Flirtini, and Cosmopolitan. Yum!

This West Hollywood company has had shout outs from magazines such as Lucky, Oprah, Allure and Glamour. Now Mommies With Style readers can try the products for 15% off by entering Mommies in the coupon code at check out from now until April 30. Happy Splashing!

Cute Baby Shoes makes soft-soled shoes for infants. They're having a 10% off sale with the use of coupon code: spring10. Expires April 15.

Bella Band: a good early pregnancy purchase

I definitely could have used one of these when I was pregnant with my son. We all know that stage - the "I can't be comfortable if my button my pants but I don't want to buy maternity clothes" stage. It lasts a couple weeks. (Also known as the "I'm starting to show but I probably just look like I'm fat" stage.)

Here's a great product to help you through your transition: the Bella Band allows you to remain in your regular pants for a couple extra weeks. The Bella Band is made of a stretchy material and it sits over the top of your pants like a belt. It fits snugly so you can leave your pants unbuttoned but the Band helps to hold everything up!

It's a cool little product that's worth the purchase to last a little longer in your old clothes. You can find it at online boutique Mom4Life in Stone, White or Black for $25.95. Click through this link for 10% off with a special Mommies with Style link. (The Bella Band is under the "Mom's Closet" section.)
Be sure to check out Mom4Life's other cool products - 80% of the items sold there are made by stay-at-home-Moms.

A Bit of Retro Charm ... 15% and Free Shipping!

The task of finding a bib that was both big enough to cover my toddler's shirt and cute enough not to offend her (okay, my) sense of style proved a more daunting task than I had anticipated. Add to that my hope that it would be easy to clean, and it seemed the perfect bib was not to be found. But happily, I got all these things and more in fun oilcloth bibs from Baby Jakes.

The bibs come in an assortment of cheery prints (think grandma's tablecloth -- very vintage chic) and are generously sized to keep my daughter's clothes mess free. Best of all, they are a snap to clean, (if you don't already know this, oilcloth is a mommy's dream fabric - waterproof, stain resistant and super sturdy!) just a quick swipe with the washcloth and it's as good as new. Baby Jakes offers a wide variety of oilcloth items, including splat mats, changing pads, tote and lunch bags. I'm a huge fan of the toddler smocks - which are great for art projects, helping in the kitchen or whatever other messes your child will no doubt find a way to make.

Beyond oilcloth, Baby Jakes also carries a beautiful collection of super-soft chenille baby blankets and pillows, which can be personalized for an additional charge.

Baby Jakes has recently redesigned their web site, and continues to add fun products ... make sure you check out all the new items!

Everything in the Baby Jakes collection is handmade. Shop between now and April 31 with the code mommiesw/style receive 15% off your purchase. Also, receive free shipping on all orders over $100 with the code 10406500. Remember, shipping on bibs is always free.

30% off STORE WIDE at Oh-How Cute!!!

Its hard to find a better deal than this. Use code MOVING during checkout to receive your discount.

You'll also receive free shippng when your order is over $125.

All items used with this coupon are final sale items. Additionally, coupon may not be used on consignment, special order, sale or clearance items.

Fun slings at Rockin' Baby Sling

Slings rank up there with strollers and diaper bags as something that really comes down to personal preference. Every Mom has specific needs when it comes to a sling - although the basics are the same: something that makes it easy to breastfeed hands free and something that makes it comfortable and easy for you to wear your baby, making them feel comfortable and secure.

Rockin' Baby Slings makes some fun looking slings that are hip and comfortable. They are adjustable as they have the steel rings - making it useable for both the Mom and Dad. It also has several positions it can work with - 5 to be precise, from an infant cradle to the hip or back carry for older kids.

It comes in vintage, fun fabrics for every style choice.

Use coupon code MWS 111 for 10% off your order.

Fabulous belts for your little one

No matter what she eats, my daughter stays as thin as a rail (yes, I'm a little jealous of her). But there is a major downside to this - her pants never fit her correctly. In the winter she lives in skirts and dresses, and in the summer she is wearing capris that were meant to be long pants.

So imagine how happy I was to receive a Swanky Baby belt to review. Swanky Baby belts come in fifteen adorable patterns and two sizes (25" and 30"). They are secured with a common D-ring, but what is uncommon about them is how thick and sturdy they are. I've purchased many toddler belts, and even made my daughter a few, but these are far and away the best quality ones I have found.

Most of the patterns are for girls, but they do have a cute camouflage fabric for little boys. My personal girly favorite is the "Blue Hot Dot". Swanky Baby also sells cute blankets, bibs, burp cloths and more!

Use code MWSSB for 10% off of all Swanky Belt orders (valid until April 8).

Unique soft toys and books are great gifts!

My aunt recently sent Jacob the My ABC Bag, a soft book has twenty-six pillow toys corresponding to each letter of the alphabet that sit in their own pockets. The book zips up and is extremely portable, making it a great toy for the car or plane.

My son already loves playing with it. He loves pulling the toys out of the pockets and we name each one. I can see him growing with this toy and using it for awhile to come!

The ABC Bag is made by Kiddicopia, who carry unique toys, books, and gifts for kids and babies. I love this soft calendar, as well as their very cool topsy turvy storybook dolls. Also adorable is this first tea set in a tote bag, which opens into a tablecloth! Make sure you check out all of the really great toys this store has to offer!

Brocade lovers--LOOK here!

So, you're still searching for the perfect bag? If you love Brocade, then Lori Q Handbags just may be calling your name.

Ladies, this is a big bag, and very well made. Let me start with the obvious, pockets. The interior of the bag has 5 pockets: 1 large pocket which contains a coordinating quilted changing pad with a waterproof liner, 2 smaller pockets opposite that, 2 bottle pockets, and a very large interior open space. Additionally, there is a large, zippered "Mommy Bag" which has a grommet that will allow mom to clip it to the bag, using the very handy key clip (one of my favorite features as I'm always searching for keys in my big bags.) The interior is also lined with a stain-resistant, nylon liner. On the exterior are 2 cell pockets, but they'll also fit bottles--water or baby.

Funny as it sounds, I love the bottoms of these bags. So many of my beautiful diaper bags (and if you've been keeping count, I've had quite a few) are just too beautiful to put on the floor. But Lori Q thought about that. The bottom exterior fabric of this bag is sturdy, dark leather. This is a bonus in so many ways! First, its firm, so that you can carry really heavy items (see below). Second, dirt and grime can be wiped right off-- you aren't ruining your beautiful Chinese brocade if you accidentally put your bag in a puddle of ... what ever it may land in. And, third, if a drink accidentally spill on the bottom inside, you won't have it coming through the brocade--its covered with the leather.

When Lori Q designed this bag, she didn't miss a thing! The zipper coordinates with the brocade fabric and the zipper pull is padded and large--much easier to operate with baby in hand.

Like I said, this bag is big and strong. Recently, I needed to carry my laptop and several files, as well as toys and the usual diapers and wipes. The bag held it all, and had room for more!

The diaper bags run from $60-$90, a great price for a brocade bag! Additionally, Lori Q Handbags offers more than just diaper bags. You'll also find backpacks, evening bags and one of a kinds.

Use code MWS40 to save 40%!!! It should be entered in the Payment Options box, which appears on the billing page of the checkout process.

EDIT 5/24/06: The code MWS40 has expired, use the new code MWS30 to save 30%.

Shield baby's eyes with a sunshade

The canopy never seems sufficient to me on most strollers I see today -- especially when you're out for a walk and dealing with sunglare.

I have this one hill in my development that I walk at a certain time of day (in warmer weather) where my son always has to turn his head away and squint, and I'm constantly trying to book it up the hill to minimize the time he's facing the sun.

Protect-A-Bub's sunshade attachment avoids this problem and is a good product to have as we (hopefully) enter into warmer weather and more outings outside. It attachs to the canopy of your stroller and extends to block the sun from baby's sensitive eyes. It's full adjustable and they promise it will fit ANY stroller. Purchase two for double strollers.

10% off with coupon code "protectyoubub".

My baby has a new favorite toy!

I'll give all the credit, and appreciation, to Whitney for this find. We were playing at her house the other day, and my 6 month old attached himself to a GREAT baby toy. He's hardly put it down since... seriously, I had to take it away so that I could feed him this afternoon.

Wally the Whale has to be one of the softest plush toys I've ever felt. Think your velour sweatsuit--only softer. And he's adorable and lovable. Even better, he's a fabric book that makes noise! The outside whale part makes crinkling noises when the baby bends, grabs and, in our case, "mouths" it. And the pages inside are soft fabric with a sweet, short story of friendship and growth. Wally's also holding onto a shiny, squeaky fish that "swims" along with him (and detatches with velcro). On the tops of the pages are extra fabrics that serve as tags--and you know all babies love tags.

Wally makes a great gift for your little one, and you can find him at Arte Bebe--a chic store for the 6 and under crowd with so many other unique gifts, including a variety of other soft books and super plush
toys

Skin S.O.S. from Therapy Systems

I don't know about you, but my mommy to-do list does not include a weekly trip to the spa. It's all quite unfortunate, since I've somehow reached a point in time when I am getting zits and wrinkles at the same time (how's that for cosmically unfair?), and my skin can use all the help it can get! But, since neither my budget nor my day planner will afford me the luxury of frequenting that lovely haven of fluffy white robes and cucumber eye masks, I've had to explore other options.

I recently tried a few products from the Therapy Systems line of skincare and have been very happy with the results. A firm believer that a little exfoliation can work small wonders (nothing like getting rid of all those dead skin cells ... Yecch!), I'm always game to try a good scrub. I love their three-step Microdermabrasion Kit which promises to improve skin's texture and clarity with continued use.

I confess, I approached the Self-adjusting Facial Peel Kit with a bit more trepidation (remember when Samantha on Sex and the City got a "freshening peel" and ended up looking like Bob the Tomato for Carrie's book party?). But I soldiered on, in the name of science (well, okay, in the name of better skin), and was pleasantly surprised by both the ease and painlessness of the process and the quick results. After using both kits a couple times, my skin looked clearer and felt tighter ... and who can complain about that?

A Cosmo Best of Beauty award winner, Therapy Systems has a full line of skincare for face and body, and can be purchased on-line at The Cosmetic Market or on the company's web site at therapysytems.com. Check it out!

Cold Snap Sales

Truth be told, I was sporting a little spring in my step brought on by the unseasonably warm weather us mid-Atlantic'ers enjoyed last week. But I was quickly jolted back into reality when the temps dropped as suddenly as they spiked. Winter hasn’t made it’s grand exit quite yet.

With that in mind, I decided to lift my spirits by doing what else? Some winter sale shopping of course. It’s the perfect time to stock up for next year and still snag some gems to wear this season while winter lingers a bit longer.

Hampton’s child has great deals right now on their winter clearance items for boys and girls. Check out this little cabled sweater coat number. Perfect for those chillier early days of spring. Or how about this adorable brown quilted jacket for the little man in your life?

And let’s not forget about you! Looking to add some zest to your wardrobe? Check out this little black tunic from Armani Exchange. It’s perfect for hiding that little bit of post-baby tummy I have while still looking great for date night with my hubby. For those wanting to inject some color into their wardrobe try these gaucho pants in rust by Karma NYC Boutique. Don't they just scream girls' night out?

Man, I love a good sale. Happy shopping!

Simple Happy. A philosophy to inspire.

Simple happy. Isn't that the best there is in life? And doesn't it describe the innocence and love of a baby?

Its the philosophy of Tatico, a baby shirt designer who offers simple messages like "inspire me", "peace please", and "I glow." Tatico's tee's are sweet, calm and inspirational. I can't help but remind myself to calm down and relax when I read these t-shirts.

The slogans are printed on an oatmeal-white colored t-shirt in baby sizes. The icon of Tatico, an adorable, simple little girl blowing on a dandelion, appears on the back of each shirt. She was designed to inspire innocence and the strive to "always be a child."

And isn't that what we all really want?

Mommies with Style readers will receive free shipping with your orders through April 30. Be sure to link from our site to Tatico to receive the discount.

A portion of the proceeds at Tatico go to the Room to Read Scholarship program to create the opportunity fo an underprivileged young girl to attend school for a year.

Take me out to the ballgame

Julie and I were recently at a children's show in NYC. In all my years of "traditional working," I had never been to a show at the Javits Center. Those of you who have been already know - it's overwhelming.

That's why, it was hard to really take everything in - but you know this product was eye-catching when it served to stop both Julie and I are in our tracks. We were just enamored by the cuteness of the Nokona baseball glove. I took home a sample and my son has already started playing with it! It fits toddler hands perfectly.

It's a great gift and having it personlized adds to it. And Julie loved it so much, of course, that she's now carrying it on Precious Personalities. It's $75 including personalization and comes in pink or blue.

Check it out - she's offering 15% off with coupon code MWSBFG15. Enter it in the comments section when ordering. Price will be adjusted as a refund after purchase is processed.

Baby Jogger's City Series: my new favorite stroller

Strollers are like diaper bags in that every Mom I know seems to be on the never-ending search to find the "perfect" one. With strollers, it's always something - it doesn't recline enough; there's not enough space; it pivots too easily; it doesn't pivot; it doesn't have enough storage, and a million other complaints I've heard and experienced. It's why I rarely review strollers, I'm particular as I know many other Moms are.

Well, I recently saw the Baby Jogger City Series and I was impressed enough to write this review. First off, this stroller puts my current jogging stroller (a discontinued Eddie Bauer) to shame. It's much more compact than most of the joggers I've seen, yet there's more storage space and more space for my son. It has a 75-pound weight limit, ample enough to last many years.

Another feature I can't get enough of is the adjustable handle. The handle isn't usually a problem for my 5'6" self, as most strollers are made for average-height Mommies. But my husband is several inches over 6' and is constantly feeling like he's hunching over and kicking the base of a stroller when he's trying to push it. The City Series has an adjustable handle that goes to several different positions - what I'll dub the short, medium and tall person adjustments. We tested out the "tall" adjustment and my husband was in heaven.

Other nifty features: it folds easily and compactly; the front wheel can be locked for running or left free to swivel; it has incredible storage. It comes in navy, black or red.

I should note that this stroller is not a traditional stroller - it's more of a hybrid between an everyday stroller and a jogger. It's designed for brisk walks and walks on bumpy sidewalks and rougher terrain than your regular every day stroller can handle. If you're a serious jogger, you'd want to consider one of their other "official" jogging strollers.

You can buy the City Series in a number of places: I like Let's Go Strolling. They have free shipping on all orders of $75 or more, and you can get a free cupholder with purchase with the use of coupon code MOMCUP. The City Series is $349.95 there, and I like it there because you can customize extra add-ons you want on your stroller, and because they do stroller consultations and fit you to the perfect stroller. You can also use coupon code MWS10 for $10 off your order of $100 or more.

BabyRide.com has it for $339.95 with free shipping and you can use coupon code MommiesSpring06 for $10 off all orders of $100 or more. Or another competitive price option is BabyCenter.com, which has it listed at $332.45 (they have free shipping on orders over $75.)

"That's cute!"

Those were the first words my husband said to me when he came home from work yesterday and saw me wearing my new baseball raglan tee from Mommy Go Round. Believe me my husband has been very supportive of my pregnancy and my 3rd trimester moans and groans about how big and uncomfortable I am, but he usually doesn’t refer to my maternity clothes as something he likes! Actually I was just lamenting to my friends the other day how I went shopping for some new maternity clothes and I couldn’t find a single thing in ANY of the maternity shops. The 3rd trimester is just SO hard to get through when you see this big, pregnant belly on yourself. You just want your body back & you yearn for clothes that make you feel good again.

That’s why Mommy Go Round shirts are so great! I actually feel cute and hip wearing them, something I haven’t felt for a while! And they are so comfortable and you will love this, they are also long enough! I don't know about you guys but at this point in my pregnancy I have the worst time finding shirts that are long enough for me. I also really like their Family Tree shirt and Do the Due shirt. Since my due date is in May, my shirts have “May” on them and I smile every time I see it! As each day ticks by I know I am doomed to just get bigger and bigger and I’ve already started getting those insensitive comments: “When are you due?” and “You look ready to pop today!” Now everyone can just read when I’m due!

Mommy Go Round will be releasing their new Spring line very soon, so keep your eyes out for it and all you moms-to-be out there treat yourself to something fun, cool and hip! You deserve it! Mommieswithstyle readers will get free shipping on all products, just choose the shipping option Mommies with Style and your shipping will be $0!

Sassy Moms: Check Out Darling Mummy Tees!

Okay, so think about your favorite mommy girlfriends. Like the one who somehow manages to look chic all the time, even in the God-awful early rush of pre-school drop off, wearing jeans and a juice-stained hoodie. Or the funny one. Who can make you laugh, even when your toddler and hers are locked in a to-the-death battle over the last red megablock. Imagine the three of you got together over a nice bottle of merlot (yeah, I know, I never have time to meet anyone over a nice bottle of merlot either, but I said imagine) and decided to design some T-shirts for all the other fabulous mommies you knew. Are you imagining?

Well, that's kind of what Darling Mummy is like ... like some cool, witty friends made a shirt just for you. You'll love their line of tongue-in-cheek tees sporting sayings like "I'm too sexy for my mini-van" and "mommy juice" (along with a drawing of a glass of wine). Very cute! Best of all, (and like only good friends would think to do) they've designed their shirts with a flattering cut to "hide any post-baby imperfections." Awww, thanks girls.

My pink "nobody likes a potty mouth" shirt is a sure-fire candidate for a gym and run-around wardrobe staple for me. I love the super-soft cotton, and although I usually don't like the fit of scoop neck tees (I'm a V-neck girl!) I like these a lot.

On Darling Mummy's web site, you will find their original shirt and cap designs, fun fabric belts, Loom Bandicoot diaper bags and a selection of gifts.

Shop through April 30 with the code MWS2006 and receive 15 % off your order. Check it out. After all, it's the least you can do for a friend. And come on ... aren't we all too sexy for our mini-vans??

Take the Mom Blog survey

BlogAds.com (the company we use for advertising) is sponsoring a survey on Moms and Blogs. They're collecting data that will hopefully help them (and us) understand what readers are looking for in Mom-related blogs.

It's pretty short - 2 pages but only a handful of the questions are required. If you're so inclined, you can take the survey here. Be sure to list "Mommies with Style" when asked about the referring blog! (#23)

Dominoes - A Matching Game!

Here's a great game that is for ages 3 and up. However, I was amazed at how well my 2 1/2 year old caught on instantly and now loves playing and beating me! She concentrates so hard and is so excited when we play! It is a great way to help toddlers develop visual discrimination and matching skills.

Each piece has two pictures on either end. To play, you create a chain by placing the matching character on either end of the chain. If you don't have a piece that matches, you pick one piece until you get one that will match either end of the line.

We started playing with Dino Dominoes, but have recently found that there are all sorts of domino games with different characters on them! I have come across Thomas the Tank Engine, Jay Jay the Jet Plane, Disney Princess, Disney, Dora the Explorer, Race Cars, and Hello Kitty. Some of the games come in tins which make them great for travel!

A diaper bag for the guys: Guys' Infant Gear

I don't know about your husbands, but mine has never been thrilled with my diaper bag choices. Call it crazy, but somehow carrying a pink diaper bag doesn't exactly make my husband feel masculine. And I know my husband isn't the only one to complain.

Here's a solution - a bag for the guys! Guys' Infant Gear sells a diaper bag and diaper bag backpack that is designed specifically with Dad's in mind. They're black and their look is sharp.

They offer the Tailback Diaper Bag and the Flanker Diaper Bag. I'm particularly enamored with the Tailback -- the backpack. A changing pad is built right into the back of the bag and zips right out when needed. It has all sorts of nifty pouches and pockets to hold things like diapers, a sippy and more. For those of guys who are more into the messenger style bag, the Flanker also provides efficient storage and compartments.

It's also a popular bag among the celebrities: J. Lo's husband Marc Anthony has been spotting purchasing one, and William H. Macy (Felicity Huffman of Desperate Housewives' hubby) sports the backpack.

Click through to Guys Infant Gear and a $25 discount will be applied to the bag at checkout.

15% off PLUS! Buy Two Get One Free at Slinglings

A diehard Baby Bjorn devotee with my first two children, I was never much of a sling girl. I tried a ring-style sling with my second, but never learned to trust it. I felt certain that my beloved bundle would fall quickly to his death out from it. But after hearing many rave reviews about slings, seeing many hip, capable-looking mommies donning them, and (I confess) realizing all the adorable fabrics they came in, I decided to try again.

Luckily, the simple, pouch style slings from Slinglings made baby wearing (or in my case, toddler wearing) much easier for a novice like me. I love the wearing instructions section of the company's web site, which has step-by-step directions, photos to ilustrate and even a video clip demonstrating exactly what you should do for each carrying position ... you gotta love that! Handmade from woven stretch cotton, the slings are excellently priced at $33.95 (some fabric choices are even less) and available in lots of lovely fabric choices.

My daughter was happy as could be perched on my back like a little koala cub, and I never felt worried that she would slip out. Likewise, when I commandeered a friend's infant in the name of research, he too was snug, content and safe. Appropriate for children newborn through approximately 35 pounds, Slingling pouches are versatile and compact for easy carrying in a purse or diaper bag.

Shop Slinglings with the code STYLE and receive 15% off your order. This can be COMBINED with Slingling's standing offer of BUY TWO GET ONE FREE This is a great deal, and a great opportunity to try a sling!

25% off at My Little Ducks

BusyBodyBook: Keeping your family organized

A nifty little organizer to keep you and your family in check is the BusyBodyBook. It's a great family planner for multi-kid families: it's designed with five columns on the right hand side of the book, meant to be a column for each child and parent.

Keep track of busy schedules by filling in each individual's appointments at any given time. It's fun-looking and it's simple, always bonus for us busy Moms who don't have time.

The left side of the book is for "to doodles:" planning, notes, goals or lists.

If you're interested in the current BusyBodyBook (Sept 05-Dec 06), it's currently 50% off. Mommies with Style readers can receive an additional 5% off with "MWS" as the coupon code, which makes the cost $ 8.98 + S&H until May 1, 2006. If you'd like the newer, August 2006-Dec. 2007 book, the coupon code is "MWS2" and will be effective June 1st and will take 15% off the order the entire month of June.

Making Spirits Bright

Whatever the season, Jingle Baby jewelry will bring a bit of good cheer to anyone who wears it. Beautifully crafted from sterling silver, each piece sports an adorable heart charm, and tiny bells that jingle with motion. The selection includes children's anklets and bracelets, as well as teen and mommy anklets (the child's anklet may also be worn as an adult bracelet). Appropriate for little boys and girls, similar styles have graced the ankles of celeb tots such as Maddox Jolie-Pitt.

My daughter Isabel (who is two) has been wearing the silver anklet and I have to tell you I love it. It looks cute as a bug on her tiny ankle, and the sound it makes every time she kicks or steps is sweet as can be. Isabel is apparantly quite impressed by the anklet as well, as she now demands that her jeans be rolled up, lest the beauty of her new accessory escapes anyone (we can all understand that one, right girls?).

Jingle Baby jewelry ranges in price from $29.95 for a child's anklet, to $49.95 for the matching mommy and me bracelet/anklet set. Browse the selection and order online at jinglebaby.com, or call 714-542-1244. Enter the code MWS at checkout for 10% off your order.

Note: The jewelry is well made and has been tested to withstand up to ten pounds. But it is NOT a toy, so as always, use caution and judgment in regards to young children, small parts and choking.

New Gerber Lil' Snackin' Bowl

My son loves to eat. In addition to three meals, he snacks all day. I have depended on the Snack Trap (a great item!) for months, but recently he has figured out how to take the lid off, and remove all the items inside.

So based on one of our members suggestions on the boards, I headed out to Target to pick up the new Lil Snackin' Bowls from Gerber. Sold two per pack, you get two bowls with two soft rubber "doors" to help keep snacks inside.

The difference between this cup and the Snack Trap is the size (this is not as deep but wider in dimension), location of the "door" (this is on the side, not the top), and the Gerber bowls are also slightly less expensive, at around $2 per bowl.

I have yet to see if these bowls will work with my son, but I guess time will tell. They are inexpensive enough to try though! Save 15% at Kids Surplus and get a two-pack for $4.15.

Tees and bibs with cute sayings at 3 Girls and Us

3 Girls and Us makes infant and toddler tees with some sassy sayings. "Warning: I might puke at any moment" is appropriate on a newborn, of course, and "I like it straight from the bottle" are two witty examples.

Use coupon code March4 for $4 off an order of $40 or more, expires March 14.

A great mix of folk and fun

Imagine sitting around an Irish pub, swinging a beer in your hand, and singing out loud. Now... imagine the kids are there. Clearly, if you're able to do this, you must be listening to The Hollow Trees.

A mix of folk and country, with a little blue grass thrown in, the CD has familiar songs with a bit of a twist... and new songs that are catchy and easy to sing along with. There are songs for every preschooler--animal songs, fishing songs, classics and, well, more obscure classics. And a few originals. Our family favorite is Bunny Hop. No... not that bunny hop, but a fun one you can move to while singing along and NOT feel like a preschool teacher when you sing it. (We were caught singing it in the pediatrician's office a few days ago during our wait!)

Original songs, like the Forest Melody, bring me back to my college days when we would camp around the fire and sing... or attempt to. Again... picture it with the kids.

The Hollow Trees include Greg and Laura, with their band (banjo and snare drum) and friends and family providing back-up vocals and animal sounds. Their first album, self titled The Hollow Trees, includes 17 acoustic songs you will love. Preview the album at CD Baby... and don't be surprised if you start singing Bunny Hop at the pediatrician, too.

Toddler tees now available on Time Out Spots

Take Cover

I'm no germaphobe. After three kids, my threshold of cleanliness has fallen well below my golden first-baby standards. My sleeve is used as a little one's kleenex in more emergencies than I care to admit, and the other day — when my son sweetly offered me a goldfish cracker scavenged from his carseat — I actually ate it.

But we all have our limits, and the dreaded shopping cart (bacteria breeding ground that it is) is without a doubt mine. Two of my children are thumb suckers, and more orally fixated than a couple of chain smokers. They've never met a seat buckle that they didn't want to suck on, or a handle they didn't want to lick. Yuck! And of course, a nice box of animal crackers can always make the Target trip run a little smoother ... but who wants to feed their child in a place where countless other ones have slurped, sneezed and slobbered all over?

This is where shopping cart covers by LillyAnneMe come in. They come to the rescue with both form and function, in a huge variety of posh fabrics. Mine came in a gorgeous Asian-printed red silk, and it drew oohs and ahhs wherever we shopped. I honestly do not know how I did without this thing for my six plus years of mommyhood. The last time I shopped, I must have looked down at my toddler in the seat five times, ready to freak out at her mouth on the cart or the buckle, when I realized I didn't have to. The cover (complete with its own buckle) kept the germy surfaces away. The covers also work on those icky restaurant highchairs. So those brave (or crazy!) enough to dine out with their toddlers can rest assured that their child's noshing will be done in a place that is not only sanitary, but stylish as well.

LillyAnneMe also makes chic carseat covers (for infants and toddlers), and fabulous blankets. The patterns of all these items match, for that ultra-pulled together look. Cart and carseat covers range from $85 to $90. Blankets are $40. Take advantage of this special offer: buy and infant cover and a blanket and receive $10 off your order.

Snapdragon: preventing little hands from removing their socks

Here's one many of us are familiar with: once your child hits around 3-4 months, they love grabbing at their feet, and subsequently pulling off whatever's on there. It's an exercise in "look what I can do, Mom" but leaves little toes cold and exposed. Having had a winter baby, this was definitely a problem for us.

Snapdragon Baby Socks have solved this solution by creating socks that stay attached to baby. Cute little loops are hooked to each sock, and they function by snapping onto baby's clothes. So unless you have the miracle baby who can figure out snaps, these socks are a great little product.

They come in two sizes - 0-6 months and 6-12 months and the loops have cute little designs on them, so you can pick a boy or girl design. The socks are $8 a pair, use coupon code MWSTYLE for 10% off.

The Pink Bow

The Pink Bow features adorable bows and barrettes for your princess! You can choose from over 60 solid colors, stripes, dots, toile, hearts, flowers, denim, flag, reversibles, gingham, bandana, and the list goes on and on. I love how you can customize you own bows and barrettes especially if you would like to match a specific outfit. You can pick which clip style you like, the type of bow and the ribbon color and if you want to add a special touch you can choose to have a Swarovski Crystal Rhinestone put in the center of the bow. You can request ribbon samples so that you are sure to choose the perfect color! All of the hair bows are made with the finest quality grosgrain ribbon, clips and barrettes. The most amazing part of these bows is the 'no slip' material that is attached to the inside of every clip. Baby fine or thin hair? No problem! These hairbows really do stay stay in!

For Girly Girls ... and the Mommies Who Love to Dress Them

My daughter just got a Prissy Poof, and oh my gosh, is it CUTE! If you have a little girl who loves to play dress-up, check these out. The new little black dress of pretend play, it's sure to become your daughter's preferred attire for everything from hosting tea parties to starring in ballets.

Entirely too fabulous to relegate to the dress-up trunk, Prissy Poofs are just as fun to wear with jeans and sweatshirts as they are with glass slippers and tiaras. These high-quality tulle skirts are handmade in the USA and designed to be worn again and again. It's a good thing too, because once your girly girl sets eyes on it, she'll never want to take it off!

Prissy Poofs are the creation of two moms unable to find upscale dress-up clothes for their children that were also sturdy enough for every day wear. Recently featured in Child magazine, they offer dozens of adorable designs and coordinating accesories (including ones for Halloween and other holidays) to fit princesses from six months to eight years old.

So no matter the occasion, be it slaying dragons, rescuing princes (these are modern girls after all!) or just running to the grocery store with mommy, a Prissy Poof is the ultimate glam-girl accesory. It will thrill your little diva, and everyone who sees her in it. Check out the selection on-line at Prissy Poofs, then call the toll-free number at 1-866-PRISSYS to place an order. Mention Mommies With Style and receive FREE SHIPPING on your order, and pay a special rate of $35 for any poof (that's a saving of $8-23, depending on the style).

Snug As A Bug

Loran Wyman, avid runner and mom to three, had a thought: why isn’t there a blanket out there that my kid can’t kick off while riding in the jogger? So, this savvy inventor and mom-trepreneur set herself to work. One day after sewing the corners of a blanket together and cutting a seatbelt hole in the middle she had found the perfect solution—The Snug Bug Bag.

Shaped like a T, the Snug Bug Bag is constructed with two layers of contrasting fleece (which looks great when you roll down the top to wrap around your child). Oh, and it's easy to use. There are only three steps: slide the bag over your child’s legs, pull the safety buckle through the cutout and wrap the flaps around your little one to make them extra cozy. There are also two sizes to choose from: small for those 0 to 24 months and large for kids two to five. So parents of older children can still enjoy a stroll or jog knowing that their child is comfy.

These little Snug Bug Bags are wonderfully versatile! Which is something that I’ve found to be lacking in many of the comparable products out there on the market now. I’ve used mine with my son’s car seat, stroller, and Baby Bjorn. Heck, I even contemplated buying a jogging stroller just so I could use it with that too. Okay, so I did stop myself short there. This cute, ingenious and very easy to use product is also machine washable. That’s right! When little junior spills something on it (and we all know it’s only a matter of time) you can simply toss it in the wash and viola, good as new.

To top it all off, this bag is so very soft and cuddly. My little guy’s smile tells me he is warm and cozy. Plus, he can still use his hands to munch on his cookies or hold his bottle. Of course, that makes us both happy. And here’s another reason for parents to smile: mention Mommies With Style in your order and receive a free hat.

For the Linus in Your Life

My daughter's blankie has magical powers. We are sure of it. When it's near, the world is always a bit more bearable ... a little brighter.

If you have a little Linus in your family, or are looking for an extra special gift, check out Lillamonsters. You'll find a huge selection of unique, handmade blankets. Available in many cuddle-worthy fabrics (including flannel, minkee, satin and combinations of these) and lots of fabulous patterns, (from traditional pastels to modern prints) these "lovies" are destined to become someone's favorite.

I love the minis, which are just the right size for little ones to carry around (because as anyone with a blankie lover knows carry it around you certainly will!). My favorite is the Mod Dots Mini, in bright, fashion-friendly pinks and greens. Find your favorite among the many different styles, or create your own. For $25 you can customize and 18x18" mini and choose the color and pattern of the minkee, satin and ribbon.

If you're buying a gift, you can have any blanket wrapped in an adorable satin bag in coordinating colors and matching gift tags. And for a thoughtful extra, gift tags have a fabric swatch from the blanket, which is perfect for saving in a baby book.

Mommies with Style readers will receive FREE SHIPPING on their order through March 17. Just type "Mommies with Style" in the comments box and your shipping charges will be credited back to you.

The perfect shoe for your toddler's growing feet!

I was recently introduced to Toddler Treads, unique and cool-looking, yet flexible and soft shoes made in Poland.

My son started walking just a couple of months ago, so finding a soft, flexible, safe and supportive shoe was extremely important to me. Of course, I only want to put him in shoes that are cute as well! These shoes fit the bill... they come in a ton of cool colors (for boys, chocolate, navy, olive, and more... for girls, aqua, heather, sky blue, and more) and look adorable with my son's wardrobe.

The shoes feature suede leather uppers and non-slip rubber soles. They are also hand sewn and hand dyed, making each pair special and unique.

Try a pair and receive free shipping in addition to a 15% discount when you enter code "mommies".

Save 15% at The Childrens Place

Just in time for the spring holidays, use code S2E136 to save 15% off your purchase by March 26.

These clothes go really quickly, so plan ahead and buy now. Last year, I shopped the week before Passover and was left with only one one shirt to choose from.

For your smartie collegiate to be: PhiBetaBaby

So this hat came in the mail, I opened it up, my son grabbed it and ran away. And he's seriously been wearing it ever since, which is a feat as he normally doesn't wear hats. And not that I'm biased, of course, but I have to say it looks adorable on him.

PhiBetaBaby hand-makes items such as these hats (which are incredible cute, comfortable and soft), tees, totes and more. The hats say they are for 6-18 months on the website, but my 2 year old (who has a very large head that always measures off the charts) is able to get it on his head fine. The hats are $21.

I'm also loving the gift sets on PhiBetaBaby. Many of them have cool Asian themes. The bibs come in a pack of two for $24, which is affordable for something hand made.

Must-have summer sandal

Simply put, the shoe department at Nordstrom is dangerous. Besides Janie and Jack, there is no other store that destroys my willpower more. Three years ago I discovered shoe designer Athena Alexander and I'm now a total addict. Her shoes are mid-priced and stylish yet unbelievably comfortable.

While browsing tonight, I found the "Lorna" sandal on Nordstom.com and it's definitely my "must-have" summer sandal. You can wear them to pick the kids up at school or out on the town. Look closely at the sequin detail - it's just too cute. As if you needed another reason to buy them, shipping at Nordstrom.com is always $5.00.

They should be at my doorstep in a few days. Shhh...don't tell my husband.

All sorts of cute items at the Wee Boutique; 15% off

Jujube diaper bags, Peanut Shell Slings, Oinkbaby, Fleurville, Grobag and more are some of the brands you can find for sale online at The Wee Boutique.

The Grobags are particularly interesting - they function like a Halo Sleep Sack, for those of you who are familiar with those. They act as a blanket but are safe when dealing with SIDS, and they keep your baby warm and comfortable as they can't kick them off.

Also check out the Jack and Lily shoes, soft-soled shoes for your crawling and cruising baby.

Enter code MWS at checkout to receive 15% off your order. Free shipping on orders over $99.
