I'm a sucker for a cute tee, and here's another site making great t-shirts for both pregnant Moms and kids alike. Georgie Tees sells tees with fun and catchy phrases printed on them. Some of my favorite maternity shirts of theirs include: "made it past third base" and "no longer childproof."

And for the babies, you have to love: "bald is beautiful" and "I wasn't born yesterday."

Free Shipping on Halloween Treat Bags at PBK

Last year at this time Halloween had not even crossed my radar. I learned the hard way. I finally got it together in October and began searching for a Dash costume and I tried to order PBK Treat Bags. It turned into a very huge, painful ordeal: Dash costumes were not to be found at any of the dozen or so stores I searched nor could they be found for a reasonable price online and I spent weeks searching. And on top of that PBK Treat Bags were all sold out. I was SO disappointed.

I finally gave up my frantic searching and swore to never put Halloween off again! 10 months ago I wrote into my budget to get a Halloween costume and treat bags in August this year. Sheer craziness but so worth it as I am already all set w/a Dash costume for my little blondie and PBK Treat Bags are already in my possession. No painful Halloween ordeals for me this year! I don't have that kind of time w/2 kids in tow this season.

Don't make the mistake I made last year! PBK Puffy Treat Bags are only $10.50 and they can be personalized for just $6 more. Order before October 25 and PBK is offering Free Shipping on their Treat Bags. But don't wait that long, they are sure to be gone early!

Release your Inner Child

I just could not resist. Demeter has done it again. As if the childhood scents of dirt, grass and cotton candy were not enough. In honor of the honorable Doh co's 50th anniversary, they have now bottled childhood with... Eau de Playdoh!

Yes it's wacky. And yet. Can't wait to smell it.

This gem is selling for $18.99 at Perpetual Kid. They have some other super cool stuff you need (well want, but it is a fine line, isn't it?) and are currently offering free shipping on orders over $75.

Soft but stylish: Kashwere from Julep Lounge

Julep Lounge combines both style and comfort in their line of clothes. Their items are made of "kashwere," which is the hottest new trend in celebrity clothing wear: it's a type of material that some say is softer than cashmere.

What's nice about it is that it's good for everyday wear and you can toss it in the wash without having to care for it as you do other luxury fabrics (i.e. trip to the dry cleaner).

Even better, it doesn't wrinkle and it's pretty stretchy (I even tried my new Julep Lounge top on over my almost-30 week pregnant belly and was able to stretch it! Didn't wear it long as that's quite a stretch these days, but I can't wait to wear it once my belly's smaller again.) And my son loves his new full-zip jacket for the fall.

Shop JulepLounge.com to buy your own kashwere.

Keep the mess in the cup, not on the kids!

Currently I am on my summer vacation with my family at the Jersey shore. Throughout our week-long stay, my son and I have had ice cream at least once a day! (I know, a diet will be in order when I get home!) Miraculously, when my 22-month old son ate his ice cream, he rarely got dirty. How, you ask?...

Right before our trip I discovered a really cool item, called the Dripstik. The Dripstik is a 2-in-1 product--one end of the Dripstik holds popsicles or treats on a stick and the opposite end holds ice cream cones. Designed by a mom of 5 kids, the Dripstik helps to avoid the washing of sticky hands, changing multiple outfits each day, and gives kids a place to set down their ice cream cone. The fun shape and bright colors make it fun for kids to use as well.

Summer's not over yet, and for those that love frozen treats, it's a great year-round product. They are an affordable $3.99 per Dripstik, plus get free shipping on any order of 4 or more using coupon code #0301.

Diversion at your fingertips!

Tell me if this sounds familiar - You're kids are climbing all over the restaurant, store, etc., while you are digging in your bottomless bag of tricks hoping to find something that may occupy them! You find paper...... but wait..... you can't find anything to draw with! You dig deeper and find one marker, but your kid wants more, so you dig some more out of desperation to help tame your wild child. You imagine a product that could help eliminate this fire drill that always occurs at the most inopportune time!

Well, imagine no more! With the Crayola Pip-Squeaks Marker Portfolio, your kids (like mine did) will enjoy hours of fun with these mini markers and doodle pad! The portfolio comes with 12 broad-line and 14 fine-line Pip-Squeak markers (great for little hands), which can be stored in 2 separate zippered pockets that fold over and stay on top of each other with Velcro strips. The doodle pad is in the middle of the portfolio and tucks inside the zippered pockets for great on-the-go play!

This fun portfolio is currently on sale for $5.49 (which is an amazing deal), I paid much more!

Beautiful beaded jewelry to buy or make yourself

I love the idea of making my own beaded jewelry. I have tried it once or twice and have really enjoyed it and have liked the results, but sometimes I am too busy to devote time to doing it regularly.

Pretty Me Bead Designs offers a perfect solution for those of us looking for beautiful jewelry to make, or already assembled! All of their jewelry uses a combination of Swarovski crystals, sterling silver, or fancy glass/lampwork beads. Featuring the Kit of the Month or their auto-ship Club, you can make a new beautiful piece of jewelry each month! (Or order it already assembled if you don't have the time or desire).

I wore the August Kit of the Month, Judy's Blue, and got numerous compliments on it. (It's the blue beaded bracelet scrolling in the photo above) It is shiny, sparkles, and has a great toggle clasp! But there are tons of options to choose from, so check out the designs for yourself!

Check out the fun designs and save 5% on your next order with code MOMMYSTYLE.

Affordable napping on the road

We recently tested out the Nap Mat. It's a tiny travel bed that comes in some cute patterns for boys and girls. It comes backed in a toddler-sized backpack, and unpacks into a small travel bed complete with pillow, floor mat and blanket.

It's currently being sold on JCPenny's site in a fire truck or frog pattern, and is on sale for $14.99. It's affordable and compact, and good for an afternoon trip to Grandma's or for naps at a daycare.

Great gifts with Education in Mind

While at the NY International Gift Show, I happened upon a familiar booth. Immediately, I recognized my son's beloved placemat: the "I Can Set the Table" Read-a-Mat. It happens to be my beloved placemat, too. In using the placemat, we've been able to silently remind our 2 year old the proper placement of utensils, his cup and plate. Now, when Carson is playing with his fork between bites, I easily just point to the fork on his mat and he knows exactly what to do. As I told Amy from The Straight Edge, Inc. about our success with the mat, she shared with me some of their other products, all created as "Educational products for growing minds."

Among their many placemats is the new "What to Wear" mat, which teaches children the basic skills of matching clothing to the weather. There are mats that teach everything: basic skills for preschoolers, Geography and History, Science, Performing Arts, even Foreign Language. They also have "Write a Mats"--the same idea, but laminated on the back so that children can practice writing and drawing the concepts. I love this idea for quiet play while I'm cooking!

Also at the Straight Edge, Inc. booth, I was shown the Inside Outside puzzles. We were given one to test with the kids, and we all loved it. The puzzle is a basic cardboard puzzle, challenging in that under the pieces, is a cardboard board that pictures the interior of the puzzle. (as shown above) So that the inside of the firetruck shows, and explains, what is going on inside.

But my favorite items were the Story in a Box books. Classic stories and songs like The Three Pigs and Old MacDonald's Farm are created as board books, with a box in the back. In many cases, the box holds cardboard cutouts with notched bottoms or easels so that the pieces stand up and the children can act out the story. Some stories come with puppets, and my favorite, Jack and the Beanstalk, comes with a seed kit that allows the readers to grow their own beanstalk!

This review isn't a surprise to many of you, you know I'm a teacher. So products that are not only educational, but classic and fun always catch my eye. And the pricepoints on these make them wonderful add-ons to gifts. I'll probably stock up on a bunch and keep them in my gifting closet.

29 weeks pregnant: Sporting my [bump]

For that in-between, "is she gaining weight or pregnant" stage, here's a product that helps resolve any confusion. [bump] (baby under manufacturing process) makes tees that tell everyone that you are indeed growing a child in there.

They're cute and you can get them in tees, tanks, long-sleeve or even tees for men (sympathy [bump]s!) You can select the maternity tees with all sorts of additional sayings too (let people know you're having a boy/girl - or that you don't know where your [bump] is going to come out and other whimsical phrases.)

Birthday #3: Its all about Castles, Knights and Dragons

My older son will be three next week. Together, we've perused catalog after catalog, listing his wants. And he wants a lot.

But yesterday at Toys R Us, proudly wearing his "R" crown and carrying his "Geoffrey's Birthday Club" balloon, Carson found there was nothing he wanted. Nothing, that is, except for a castle. Hidden on an end-cap in a not-so-obvious area, was a castle. And oh, how excited he became.

What he didn't know is that I've already been scouting castles for him. This Medieval obsession is nothing new. We can't leave the library without a copy of Tomie dePaola's The Knight and the Dragon (which he's getting from his Aunt for his birthday) and his favorite afternoon game is playing knights and dragons (where we, yes we, become dragons or knights... attending dragon school where we learn to roar our ABC sounds, sleeping in the dragon's cave or saving the castle from a dragon. Pleased to meet you, I'm "Mommy Dragon," this is my son "Big Dragon" and my other son, "Little Dragon".)

So, I've been waiting to get a castle for him, searching and searching for a great sale price. And today, DING DING!!, there it was in my e-mail inbox! Creative Brains Daily Toy Deal: the Melissa and Doug Folding Castle at 25% off and free shipping. (This offer is good today only.)

I know someone who will be REALLY excited on his birthday!

Doing lunch with Vera

Just in time for Back to School, Vera Bradley presents her new accessories. The "Out to Lunch" bag is available in many VB fabrics, like the new Windsor Navy (shown here.)

Fully lined with plastic, this will be great to carry your lunch to work or baby's bottles or yogurts on a day trip--just don't bring the liquids on the plane! It has a slip pocket--perfect for utensils, lunch money or a cooler pack. It closes with a strip of velcro, and easily fit our needs for a day at the mall (sippy cup, yogurt, spoon, ice pack, and snacks.)

Finally! I can toss that ugly purple lunch pack I've been carrying for years. I always tried to hide it at the bottom of the stroller basket--or under the table or picnic blanket. Now I'm proudly placing my quilted lunch pack on the table, right in the center. Yes... I accessorize EVERYTHING!

Give the gift of "flowers" that don't die

Running this site, I'm constantly amazed at the creativity of so many of you Moms. I don't know how you come up with so many ingenious ideas - but you do, and I'm continually impressed by ingenious and cute products like this one: the Baby Bunch.

This "bunch of flowers," is in reality a bunch of baby clothes wrapped up to look like a boutique of flowers. The presentation is fun and practical. And what a great gift to bring when you visit a friend/baby in the hospital. You can select a small or medium bunch ($39.95 and $49.95), and the colors yellow, pink or blue. All items in the bunch come in size 0-6 months.

Shopping Halloween at Pottery Barn Kids

Pottery Barn Kids has a cute collection of Halloween items this year, including costumes. I'm sure many of you got the mailer - the costumes look adorable and I'd love to hear from anyone who purchases one about quality and look-in-person.

I just love this Jack-o-Lantern Candy Treat Bowl, and although I'm sure I could get something similar at some discounted store for a good $30 cheaper, I may have to get this.

Handmade gifts with charm on Patchwork Bear

Patchwork is "in," and I'm a sucker for these products at the Patchwork Bear. I particularly love their patchwork blankets. Each square is made up of a different fabric, pure heaven for a newborn or baby.

Each square varies and is one of the following textiles: super soft "minky" fabric, chenille, flannel & satin. Each of these fabrics are soft and inviting to baby's touch - making the blanket something fun for them to explore and cuddle with. The full-sized blanket is currently on sale too (normally $54, marked down to $48). And you can have it personalized for an additional $5.

Use coupon code "mommieswithstyle" for free shipping on the Patchwork Bear.

A changing table top worth changing to

I find most changing table tops to be so uncomfortable. Usually you end up changing your baby sideways on a tiny surface. Until I found Bellini’s Slide Top Baby Changer. When open it is a spacious 28” x 35”, and half of it is retractable underneath the other half on the dresser. It is so so roomy. You can stand in front of the dresser and lay your child facing you with plenty of room on the sides for clothes, diapers, toys etc. My son is now 2 and I can still use it for him quite comfortably. The best part, it can fit on to most dressers and when your child is finally potty trained, you can just take it off.

The Bellini Slde Top Baby Changer can be found at any Bellini location comes in 6 different finishes. It retails for about $300.

28 weeks pregnant: "Funny, short pants"

So Nest by Swanky makes these black gauchos that I've started wearing, that Maggie Gyllenhaal is apparently also wearing this pregnancy. They have to be one of the most comfortable pair of pants I own these days, which means I'm in them a lot. (I've now retired the "these are so uncomfortable but I'll wear them anyway because they are cute" capris, as yeah, I now have a baby playing drums on my bladder and the stretch-factor is key.)

I was wearing the gauchos the other day at the grocery store when I was in line at the deli with my 2 1/2 year old son. My son (who hasn't made it a habit of commenting on my wardrobe in the past), turned to the 20-something college-guy standing in line next to me and out of the blue remarks, "My Mommy's wearing funny, short pants." College Guy looked flustered and gave met he half-smile and I had to laugh. And of course the future comment potential on these pants won't stop me from wearing them as they are ultra-hip as well.

Nest by Swanky (formerly Maternitee by Swanky) also makes some fun-loving tees with cute sayings on them. Check out their Maternitee by Swanky website to see their entire t-shirt selection. If their gauchos can cause such a conversation out in public, I can only imagine what the tees would invoke.

The gauchos can be found on both sites, the t-shirts only on the Maternitee site. Use coupon code MWS20 for 20% off on either site. Additional celebrity siting: Ming-Na from ER and Dana Devon from Extra have worn Maternitee's in the past.

Quirky McSunshine in a Baby Bag

Ok, I will fess up that I did not come up with the phrase "Quirky Mc Sunshine". It was a phrase I once read in a movie review, used to describe a character. But the minute I saw my Offhand Designs Ursula baby bag, it leapt to mind. I had to smile. It's a happy bag. One part hippie, two parts fashionista, with a healthy pinch of crafty grandma charm. Enchanting. You're not surprised to hear this if you know the history of Offhand Designs Bags. The San Francisco based company is best known for whipping up fabulous knitting bags from vintage fabrics. Their glamorous bags were an overnight success. Widely coveted, they alone are a good excuse to take up the needles and helped make knitting hip again. Many a time I considered repurposing their knitting bags to a baby bag but now I don't have to as they have already done just that themselves, with thoughtful modifications.

The Ursula is a uniquely-shaped, midsized, fabric tote that has been tricked out for your baby-stuff carrying needs. It has some really ingenious and accomodating smocked bottle pockets on the inside, that fit any size bottle perfectly. I love the gorgeous graphic patterned oilcloth lining. There is a zipped interior pocket for your lipgloss, wallet etc. And you'll find three slip pockets for your diapers, wipes etc. These pockets work best for smaller size diapers, however. The bag is capacious, but not cavernous. Enough space to hold the essentials, but not much more. I'm happy with that, as I prefer to carry a less loaded down bag on my shoulder/person. For reference - I packed 2 diapers in a diaper case, a wipes case, my clutch wallet, a small snack, and a spare tee. And of course my lipgloss, cell, and tic tacs. Must have those! I could have crammed a sweatshirt and spare pants for my son in too, but preferred the look of the bag less stuffed. It has such nice clean lines, which get lost if you can see the contents poking out of the bag.

The exterior of this bag is the real treat. Vintage style mixed and matched velvets and brocades give it a one-of-a-kind family heirloom look and feel. They are definitely funky. You will be stopped and questioned about this bag, by people of all ages. None of them will guess that it is a diaper bag, and you could definitely carry it for years to come, which is why I place this one firmly in the "mommy bag" category. I found pinning a large vintage brooch to the strap of mine really sold the hip heirloom look further. You could tie on a scarf too. Make it your own.

Three large additional slip pockets on the outside catch your binkies, receipts, cell phone etc but you will need to take care not to tip the bag as these pockets are open and contents could shake loose if you, say, fling the bag in the back of your SUV. (Not that I would ever do such a thing! Horrors!). Luckily the bag has ladylike brass feet which really do keep it steadily upright wherever you place it (Note to self: must stop flinging bags, nasty habit). This makes finding things inside very easy as well. If you are paranoid or prone to flinging (just saying), stash the cell in the interior pockets.

Ok, I know you are all thinking, velvet? Baby bag? Did she say velvet?

Well wouldn't you know it, my 2 yo son ate a great big hotdog with ketchup and mustard on it, while I was out with him and this bag. And chose a moment shortly thereafter to express his affection towards me. A human grease and condiment cannonball. I instinctively used the bag as a shield. Hey - I was wearing white!.

The great news is that I was able to easily wipe off the evidence with a damp cloth. Like Grandma's 50 year old couch, the upholstery weight fabric is tougher and more practical than you'd think. Still I am considering a nice layer of scotchguard to prevent future incidents.

I gotta be honest. The Ursula bag is probably not the most practical baby bag I have ever carried. But I forgive it completely. The most practical bag I ever carried was really fugly. I never forgave that bag and it never made me smile. Ursula is definitely more fun to pal around with and plenty functional for daily, fashionable, light to medium use.

I'd recommend this bag to any and all quirky urban bohemian fashionistas out there. Particularly if leather is not your thing and you want to spread a little color and sunshine around town. My Little Ducks has some great deals currently on the Ursula bag in Goldenrod, and the Zelda in green. SAVE15 for 15% off any order on My Little Ducks, and there is free shipping on orders over $75. Craftsbury kids has an impressive collection of Ursula Bags in stock and either store can also special order other Offhand Designs styles you might be interested in. MWS readers carrying this bag will receive smiles from strangers, free of charge.

Beautiful Toddler Bedding!

Who says that stylish bedding is only for Mommies? The Pink Chocolate Collection, available at Confetti Kidz, is a chic set of toddler bedding for girls. The set includes a well-made comforter and sham which can be used for nursery bedding as well. I love the mix of pink and chocolate brown fabrics! They blend together delightfully to create the top of the comforter, which has a gorgeous and elegant design surrounded by thick stripes around the edges. On the other side of the comforter is an extremely soft pink chenille fabric. The matching pink and chocolate striped sham compliments the comforter beautifully! Additionally, you can purchase a 3-piece sheet set to go with the comforter and pillow sham. Other fabric choices and matching accessories are available. Just send an e-mail to find out more information. Toddler bedding sets are also available for boys, as it's just not the little girls who can have style on their beds!

Stay warm and sophisticated: Pregnant or not

As much as I hate summer to end, I've slowly been stocking my closet for fall. And when I came across this cardigan at Nordstrom, I knew it would be an instant staple to my wardrobe.

The wool/cashmere blend is crafted in a rib knit. It goes on as a cardigan, and fits through the arms and back. But that's where the familiar sweater-style ends. the cardigan part doesn't close--rather it becomes a wrap which will fit over any belly in a variety of styles--always allowing a different look.

Available in a variety of colors, the wrap is at Nordstrom, where shipping is $5.

Rita Wilcox: tempting your bag addiction yet again

Handbag and accessory maker Rita Wilcox is having a great summer sale - up to 25% off on some of their bags. And they sell some adorable bags - Bermuda Bags, totes, clutch bags, diaper bags and more.

The Quilted Bag makes a great diaper bag as they're really ample and casual. The large one is big enough for a short overnight trip or day out.

Their bags have been mentioned and seen in US Weekly (favorite of the celebs), Star, Elle Magazine and Extra.

At check out, mention "mommies with style" in the virtual party field and you'll be credited back the cost of free shipping.

20% off at Ann Taylor Loft

I didn't want to believe it. But I think it might be true. Is eighties-esque fashion coming back? I page through fashion mags and browse through the malls, and it's all skinny jeans, high-heeled pumps and belted tunics. Not to mention the God-forsaken trend of cropped, lacy leggings under denim minis. Leggings people! Are we really here again?

Well, thank goodness, one of my favorite stores, Ann Taylor Loft has not yet gone off the like-a-virgin deep end. Their fall styles are chic, fashionable and affordable as usual. Here's some good coupon codes for you to shop to your heart's content: 15% off any purchase of $75 or more or 20% off any $150 or more. Plus, FREE SHIPPING on any purchase $75 or more. 20% off at the Pink Elephant

Thank God I don't have a girl to shop for, because if I did, my husband would be more than irritated at the money I'd want to spend on these cute items on the Pink Elephant. The clothes are adorable. Not to mention the other products they sell: cute items for boys, accessories for both boys and girls and much more.

Also - they are currently offering 15% off everything site-wide. The price is already taken off each item, you will see as you shop. In addition, use coupon code MOMMY to receive another 20% off your order.

Spa Baby

I know I'm in trouble when my 3-year-old daughter points to a bottle of lotion and says, "I want that one. It makes me feel smoother." Be it nurture or nature, I fear an obsession with pampering (although I would argue it's actually quite healthy) has been passed on to my kids.

Baby Breaux shares my healthy passion for pampering. They have developed a line of handmade and natural baby products that will make the littlest one in your life feel like a prince or princess. Their products are rich and creamy and smell heavenly. When I told you my daughter pointed to the lotion, it was actually Baby Breaux's Hugs and Kisses body creme. Lightly scented and amazingly smooth, I have been sneaking a healthy amount myself after a nice warm shower. I have to say, mama likes her pampering too.

My 14-month-old son is no stranger to the art of pampering either (he likes a nice indulgence now and again). The little guy giggles when I smooth the Sweet Dreams and Lullabies Lotion on him before bed. It's light lavender scent is a wonderful way to unwind after a long day—for both of us.

I think one of the best things about these products is that they are natural. My little pumpkins have very sensitive skin and I am very picky when it comes to choosing what products to use on them. This line has been one of the few that doesn't cause any bumps or breakouts. Natural, hand-made and creamy, Baby Breaux has hit my great gift for a new mommy list.

This Just In - It's cool to be Nice

Maybe it is just me but I have found myself cringing lately at too many boy tees with mean vibes. It's one thing to be clever, and another to be caustic. And in the neverending quest to be cool, some tees have crossed that line. While I admire a good skull -n- crossbones motif as much as the next hip mom, I enjoy it less when the skull is accompanied by daggers, and a snarky reference to a newborn baby's parents sexuality. Enough Already!

Which is why I am truly buoyed to discover A Brown Dog. Like your favorite Kindergarten Teacher, this company makes you believe that it's actually cool to be nice. Their concept is simple but perfect. They make a bunch of shirts, all featuring a sharp graphic silhouette of one of man's best friends. Each dog has some insight to share. Fox's tee says "Jake Says Look both Ways". Other canine sages include Gus, Bear, and Max, with messages like "Eat your Veggies", "Don't cry over Spilt Milk", and "Speak Kindness". And all of the tees are supersoft cotton interlock that your kids will love to wear.

Kids know that dogs are your buddies no matter what. They don't judge and they don't care about being cool. Which, ultimately is what makes them so cool after all. And a great source of good advice.

Mommies with Style readers can encourage their offspring to be both nice and cool at the same time. Enter Code MWS at checkout and get 2 tees for only $36. This offer is only good for the next two weeks so, "Ciaran says - get it while you can!"

Little Einsteins

My son has recently become “Little Einsteins” crazed. This shouldn't be confused with Baby Einsteins, "Little Einsteins" is an actual cartoon show. If you or your child has watched an episode, like me you probably understand their addiction. The main characters Leo, June, Quincy and Annie are so cute and lovable and the attention to detail in this cartoon is amazing. I get so bored with some of the other cartoons and shows geared for toddlers these days but I’m right there on the couch with my son watching the “Little Einsteins” with him. And I love that I feel guilt free letting him watch this cartoon because it exposes children to the arts and classical music.

Here’s two “Little Einsteins” products I have found to fulfill our addiction, uh, I mean his addiction to the “Little Einsteins”:

Disney’s "Little Einsteins – Our Big Huge Adventure" DVD is the Disney prelude to the show which premiered October 2005.

And since my son loves books I couldn’t pass up “Disney’s Little Einsteins Mission: Where’s June?” These items are destined to become the most worn out DVD and book in our house!

Both are available on Amazon.com and are eligible for free shipping when you spend $25 or more.

It's still summer, so listen to the Pros...

Go to the mall this week and you might forget that it is still summer. With all the hoopla about fall shopping and back to school, it is important not to forget that it is still summer. And that means you still need good sunscreen folks! Good news is that there are some great sales out there for really high quality products.

I'm pretty picky when it comes to anything I put on my face, but this summer I am loving ProCyte Ti Silc 45 sunscreen. It is the first brand that I have used that doesn't cause breakouts for me ( note: the term "noncomedogenic" is usually an invitation for my pores to clog). It also does not irritate my rosacea prone skin, like so many other sunscreens do. It absorbs quickly, leaving my skin soft but not oddly matte or sloppy greasy. And a definite plus - anti aging ingredients in the formulation work overtime to fight the effects of time and the sun. With several weeks use I am actually seeing fewer fine lines. I should note that this sunscreen has a very slight tint that is supposed to fade after application. It does seem to even out your skin tone a little, and may enable you to go without makeup. It did for me! But I was able to apply my regular makeup on top of the sunscreen without any adverse affects on the days when I wanted more coverage.

Procyte sunscreens were developed by plastic surgeons specifically for sensitive post surgical skin care - a time when using the right stuff is so critical to recovery and outcome. Once only available from your doctor, it is now available online. Drugstore.com has the Ti-Silc SPF 45 on sale for 11% off and free shipping - a genuine skincare bargain.

Loaded with features: the Fanci-Free diaper bag

Here's one diaper bag with so many bells and whistles, you won't be lacking for anything. I was very impressed when I opened the Fanci-Free diaper bag. It looks to be mid-sized but it collapses really well - opened up it holds quite a bit. Also, storage is well-organized.

It has four large pockets with inside zippers. It comes with a changing pad that has a little storage section for diapers and wipes. It also comes with a separate cosmetic case and cell phone/wallet-type organizer. And if you don't like the external cell phone organizer, there's a built in cell phone holder on the inside of the bag.

Other features include a carbineer clip for your keys and water-resistant outside material. The straps are also adjustable for shoulder or stroller hanging.

You can find the bag on Little Dudes and Divas. They are currently on sale for $89.10 (usually $99) and enter code FANCIBIB at purchase and you'll also receive a free bib.

Get some pretty underpants ... and more with this great Victoria's Secret code. Get $15 off $100, $30 off $150, $75 off $250 or $150 off $500.

Don't forget to check out their IPEX line. I think this might just be the perfect bra. Enough coverage so that the whole free world won't know when you might be, ahem, a bit chilly ... but without the layers of bulky padding that seems to go hand in hand with most lined bras.

Use the offer code AUG through September 6.

A Hint for Healthier Living

We all know a cardinal rule of clean living includes water. All the beautiful people, from health experts to buff-bodied stars, tout the "drink lots of water" mantra. It's good for your skin and good for your body ... but sometimes the recommended 64 ounces a day can feel a bit redundant. Never fear though mommies, now there's something to add a twist of flavor to your water world ...

San Fran-based company Hint has introduced their line of beverages -- pure water with fruit or vegetable essences. Just a splash of flavor (my favorites are apple and pomegranate -tangerine) with no artificial flavors or colors. As a fitness instructor, my water bottle sometimes feels like an extra appendage, so for me, the Hint flavors are a welcome improvement from plain old H2O. And, unlike my favorite energy drink, it has no artificial sweeteners. For kids (my three are crazy about it) ... Hint waters are a fabulous alternative to juice or sugary drinks with fun flavors that they'll love.

These award-winning drinks have graced celeb pre-party events from the Oscars to the Golden Globes. Don't have any red carpet events looming on your day planner? You can check it out on your own. Purchase it on-line ($44 for a case of 24 ... that includes shipping and you may mix and match flavors) or at select grocers (it's most widely distributed on the West Coast, and may be hard to find in other areas). Mommies With Style readers will receive a FREE T-shirt with any order through Labor Day. Just mention MWS at checkout to receive your gift.

27 weeks pregnant: Because comfort is key

Thankfully, I haven't been gaining as much weight this time around. Which is nice as last time NO maternity clothes even fit me in the end last round. This time I've been able to wear a mix and match of normal maternity clothes and stretchy regular clothes.

A product like the Baby Be Mine Maternity Band is great for extending the life on the "non-maternity clothes-wearing" days, as you can wear clothes unbuttoned. Plus, the designs on these bands are just cute - they hid the ugly stretch maternity bands, and are great for that third trimester stage when you need your belly covered and the small roll panel just doesn't cut it.

Enter "freeship" for free shipping in the promotion code section when you go to check out.

Posh Papoose: My Extreme Sling Makeover

I've never actually told anyone, not even my mom, about my first sling. It was an embarrassment. Not just because of the hideous "bad funky" looking design. I literally couldn't get the hang of it. After a few pathetic tries with that tragic polyblend contraption, I gave up on the concept.

Until I took a second look at someone wearing a Posh Papoose.

The thought that went through my head, as I flashed back on the straight-to-goodwill Sling that I had tried all those years ago, was that this was an Extreme Sling Makeover.

My eyes did a little camera panning and zooming as I took in all the various details: High quality and hip all cotton print, lightly padded "rails" to keep the baby snugly contained, non-metal color-matched rings, and an extra long tail with a pocket for your possessions. How civilized. How superior. Already I could hear the uplifting music. The only thing missing from the moment, for me, was a peppy Ty Pennington.

I had to give the Posh Papoose a try. And I am so glad I did! Although I unfortunately missed the boat on the infant stage with my son, the Posh Papoose is still a great aid to me when we are running quick errands and I know he will want to be carried on my hip. It's quick to pop on and off and really helps distribute his weight so that my shoulder no longer feels like it is missing its beloved socket.

And guess what? It is easy to use. I found the directions on the website simple to follow. We also like the extra length of the sling which allows you to turn it into a handy stroller shade. Perfect for those on the go naps.

Mommies with style click here to order your sling in one of the popular prints and you will receive 20% off as well as free shipping and handling. Be sure to include a note with your address, phone, items ordered and the code MWS806-20% in your message.

Treat your newborn’s sensitive skin and yours too!

Let me start by saying I love beauty products! Be it skincare, make-up or hair; I love to try new products. While I am a product junkie, when I find one I love, I am very brand loyal. When my son was born, I came across the Mustela line and I loved it. I am all for convenience, so their one-step cleaners really appealed to me. They are also hypoallergenic, alcohol free and gentle for sensitive skin.

The facial cleansing cloths were my favorite. I was never without them - a disposable one-step cloth for quick face-wiping. What could be more convenient? Especially on those car trips to visit relatives so they could meet my son for the very first time. Undoubtedly on the way he would spit-up and/or have an explosive poop. The cleansing cloths and their no-rinse cleansing fluid assured that my son would arrive at his destination smelling sweet and clean. The best part, I could use them for me too! The cleansing clothes are great make-up removers.

I also loved their no-rinse cleansing fluid for quickie clean-ups and their sunblock stick. They carry many other great products for baby as well as Mom to get her through the 9 mos of pregnancy.

Mustela products are on sale now at

Fun and Stylish Nightlights to Light your Child's Way

Every night when I put my son to sleep, part of our routine is to turn on his nightlight. It gives him some peace of mind and comfort that everything is okay, and it allows me the opportunity to check on him later in the night without disturbing him.

Recently we switched our nightlight from a standard one we got at Babies R Us to a beautiful, handmade glass nightlight from grayc glass. The adorable orange fish swimming in blue water truly came to life when we turned on the light. My son loved looking at it and pointing to the fish! Each nightlight is individually hand created and fused, and comes with a lightbulb. There are many adorable designs to match any decor or to appease any child's wishes, including a race car, heart, giraffe, flower, butterfly, train, and many more.

Owner and designer Courtney also makes great ring holders, platters, jewelry, bowls, and more. Shop now and take 20% off your entire purchase. Enter "mommies with style" in the 'message' section when you enter in your payment info to receive the discount.

A Little Lift and Lighten

Sometimes I feel like anyone could look at me and tell by the look in my eye I have two kids (it was even worse just a few months ago when my youngest wasn’t yet sleeping through the night). The look is there. Actually it’s right below my eye—dark circles.

Ugh! Those dark circles go hand-in-hand with exhaustion, which every mommy feels whether she have a newborn, teenager or someone in between. Lack of sleep plus turning 30 equaled me realizing it was time to start paying more attention to the area that screamed, “I’m tired people!” So, I popped into my local Nordies and came out with the Lift and Lighten Cream by MD Skincare.

I love this product because it takes only a second to apply and is a great way to treat myself to a little pamering. And as most mommies know, you don’t often get that much time to throw yourself together in the morning. Plus, after a couple weeks, I have noticed that this cream really has helped my eyes look brighter.

Grab your own online from Nordstrom and pay only $5 for standard shipping.

Vera Bradley: Comfort, Style and Class

I'm loving my new Vera Bradley Baby Bag. From the Black Microfiber line, it looks sleek and sophisticated. It screams "Vera Bradley goes City Chic." Its a bag I can carry year round and has more than enough pockets and space for a full day of fun with the kids. When I opened the box, my husband, who is becoming quite opinionated on bags, commented, "that's a good looking bag--very sharp."

The interior has a great black and white paisley--it sticks with the class of the design, but allows for you to find everything inside. Even the outer pockets are lined with the black/white fabric. (And, I LOVE the fabric--I'd love to find a skirt in that print!) Inside, you'll find 2 mesh pockets, a key clip and a large white, terry cloth changing pad. The exterior has 4 pockets--one slip pocket in the front and one on each side (perfect for a bottle, cell or sunglasses) and a long pocket in the back (which I love for coloring books). The tote closes with a zip top.

The soft quilting of the baby bag makes for a remarkably easy carry. Its also light, so it fits perfectly on my shoulder--not weighing me down with extra heavy fabrics and accessories--believe me, I can weigh my bags down all by myself when I pack up!

Trade in your old maternity clothes with the Belly Exchange

Here's a cool service and concept: the Belly Exchange is a website where you can sell your old maternity, nursery and baby items. (Think eBay for Mommy stuff)

There's a small fee to list an item - you don't pay a % of the sale and the buyer pays nothing other than the cost of the item. It's a cool way to get rid of old stuff and to get some used items cheaply.

Use coupon code mommieswithstyle for 1 free listing.

L'oved Baby: a multi-function nursing shawl

I'm all for mixing style with functionality. Here's a breastfeeding product that meets both criteria: the L'oved Baby nursing shawl. It comes in a bunch of different solid colors and it's made of a really light, soft fabric that makes it comfortable.

And as a bonus, it's purpose can go beyond the nursing shawl: use it as a blanket to cover baby, a blanket to cover the stroller in the sun, or use the pouch it comes with to store diapers -- multi-functional means more bang for your buck, who doesn't love that.

You can purchase the L'oved Baby nursing shawl on Baby Universe for $29.99. They are currently offering free shipping.

Cute accents for your kids room at 15% off

I was really excited to discover these drawer pulls on Confetti Kidz. We decorated my son's "big boy room" in a sports theme and I'm continually looking for little ways to add to the room and the theme.

So I ordered a set of these sports pulls for his dresser and night stand. I got a variety: soccer, basketball and baseball. Each pull is painted with professional quality acrylic paints. The painted-effect gives it a really fun, vibrant look and I was surprised to see how much using these added to the energy of the room.

Of course they have several other themed-pulls so check out the whole page. They sell for $8.95 each. Use coupon code FUN for 15% off your order.

And unrelated but a great coupon I would be remiss in not mentioning: Confetti Kidz is currently offering a 40% off coupon for ALL Lipstik clothing (including the Fall 06 lines): use code Lipstik2006.

Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Cute Jewelry

Frankly, Liberty Worth is starting to get on my nerves. Apparantly, it's not enough that she's a busy new mom and still manages to make the cutest skirts ever. She also makes jewelry, and I'm starting to feel like a serious slacker in comparison.

But I'll forgive her because -- really -- I love these sterling silver charms (but if you know that she's a knockout blonde with a supermodel body and perfect well-mannered children, keep it to yourself, I just do not want to know). The letters are hand-stamped (not machine engraved like so many others), adding charm and a handmade touch.

I have one with my husband's name, and am planning to get a charm for each of my children. But don't limit yourself to names. Since they are custom made, the charms can be embossed with any word that is meaningful to you. They're a great gift idea for grandmothers, new moms, or anyone close to you.

Each 13/16" charm (longer names or words are 7/8" at no extra charge) is $18. You can also order a chain for $12 (but they work on any chain you may have already). Shop with the code MOMSTYLE (in the coupon code section) for 10% off through August 30.

I'm pregnant and look like an idiot in shorts

So I hate shorts, I always have. I've always felt that my legs look awkward and funny in them. Most summers, I try and do skirts or pants. In weather like what we're experiencing lately, I will put shorts on only because it's a necessity.

Of course being pregnant, it's even harder to find normal looking shorts and skirts as options are more limited.

So my sister-in-law gave me one of these skirts from Ann Taylor Loft - as I was opening the box, I thought, what piece of clothing from AT is going to fit me NOW?

But this skirt is fantastic. It's comfy, it stretches and it's the right price. It's also light and really casual - great for everyday wear. I love it so much, I went back and bought 3 more! And it's not a pregnancy thing - I'd love it either way.

Whether you're pregnant or not, it's currently on sale so check it out. $19.99 at Ann Taylor Loft. Get it online or in store. My local store had a few more colors avilable than are currently available online. And I have to say - it's much cuter in person than it looks in this picture.

Yummy Yummy Yummies

Lately, it seems that all we're hearing when it comes to baby food is organic, organic, organic. Organic jars are stacking up in the aisles, and all over the net.

Homemade Baby has created Organics that are on the very top of the stack. Receiving positive reviews in a variety of publications including Child and Cookie, I knew my baby was safe when they asked me to sample their baby food. And how could I refuse? My hero, Dr. Harvey Karp says of Homemade Baby: "Thank you, Homemade Baby, for making it so easy for parents to feed their babies yummy organic food." Plus, they're certified by 5 food certification groups, including the USDA.

Homemade Baby's kitchen is located in LA-- a bit far for me to drive over. So I was so pleased when my shipment arrived. First, it was wrapped in a very secure, padded and insulated box, with a HUGE ice pack (remember, we're in the middle of an incredible heatwave here in Pennsylvania.) But no worries. The food, which must stay refrigerated, was cool to the touch, even after sitting in my driveway for who knows how long. That night, we sampled "Just Pears," and since then we've had "Just Apples", and "Just Squash" from their "So Smooth" line (for babies 6-8 months). Additionally, Wes is loving "Squapples" and "Yammy Yammy" (for babies 9-12 months) and can't wait to try Tex Mex (okay... I can't wait to try it! Gotta love my Tex Mex cravings!) Last night, he enjoyed "Just Peas" and when he couldn't stop eatting it, I took a taste--seriously as good as my favorite pea soup.

Yes, I've tried them. How could I not? The colors of the foods are so rich that it made me naturally curious. And the taste? Just as rich. A few nights ago I savored "Just Sweet Potatoes." I'm thinking I could buy it in the future, rather than actually make mashed sweet potatoes from scratch--who would know?

So, you don't live in LA? No problem! You can easily order off their site and they'll come packaged in the refrigerated case like mine did. They also have a Yummy Tummy Club where you can pay a flat fee (and this fee saves you money!) and they'll send your little one's dinner weekly. Select your baby's menu by Sunday night by sending an e-mail and it'll be at your doorstep a few days later.

Not into grocery shopping online yet? (Visit our message boards... we'll convince you!) You can pick up Homemade Baby at select stores like Whole Foods Market and Solar Harvest.

I want a Lolly at 25% off

I have to admit, I'm a Marketing department dream as I'm a sucker for a pretty package. If you're going to give me a gift, wrap it in a cool box or something unique and I'm enthralled. And Clothesline Candy definitely takes the cake on cool packaging concepts.

These cool tees and onesies come wrapped as lollipops (which they call "lollitops") - innovative wrap making for an adorable baby shower gift.

They have some really fun embroidered top options like "sun goddess," and "party animal" for your little wild one. Sizes available are 12, 18 and 24 month.
Use coupon code "MWS" for 25% off your purchase. (You will need to email or call in your order)

20% off Hooter Hiders

There are no words to express the enthusiasm I have over this product! All I can say is to the inventor of the Hooter Hider I thank you a hundred times over. It is the one item as a nursing mom I just couldn’t live without. Some people are ok nursing in public and they don’t mind or care who sees what or who thinks what and I for one was just not made that way.

With my first child I had never heard of the Hooter Hider so I miserably made it through nursing him attempting so uncomfortably to try and cover myself with a blanket or anything I could find when I was out in public. It was miserable for all of us – my husband who had to patiently try and cover me completely, my child who wanted to nurse immediately but had to wait until I was covered and for me who had a terrible time keeping everything where I wanted it! Even with it's name, the Hooter Hider does it all with style and grace.

With the Hooter Hider I can nurse with ease even with my Dad sitting right beside me! It is so easy to put on, you can do it fast and one-handed. It is made with a little wire around the top so you can peek down at any moment and see how your little one is doing and it is so cleverly designed that you will be the only one peeking at anything! It does all this in numerous stylish fabric designs that are all very classy. And I just have to say people LOVE the name. I can’t tell you how many laughs and conversations have come from having the Hooter Hider.

It is hands down the ONE must-have product I recommend to all my nursing friends! Baby Bella is now offering Mommies with Style readers 20% off your purchase with the coupon code "mommies".

New, fresh and adorable

Loving these cute, new t-shirts! With clever comments like "Be nice to my mom, she's tired" and "One for the road" with a picture of a bottle (which I know my husband would just love!) Ubooshi's t-shirts will be a hit at any shower or baby-meeting party.

We're a "signing family," so I have to mention my favorite: it has a heart on the front with the finger signs of the letters L-O-V-E. The back has the same heart, but spells the word with letters. So sweet!

But why do I really love these t-shirts? No TAGS!!! For weeks, my son has been coming in my room complaining about tags that itch his neck. The people at Ubooshi must know my son!

They've thought of everything: pacifiers with personalization

Here's one you'll have a hard time losing: binkies from It's my Binky.com with your child's name on it. It certainly won't be a part of any mistaken identity cases - which is nice as you can keep it clean and keep it out of other kid's mouths. (Less germs, yahoo!)

You can have it personalized with name, a phrase or add some bling to it. You can also select latex or silicone. Each binky is $7. Use coupon code "bb15" for 20% off your entire order.

And for kicks, I had to mention this one: they also sell diamond pacifiers. The pricetag? $17k ! (It's not for actual use for anyone thinking of getting one.) Celebrity swag alert: Shiloh Jolie-Pitt was gifted with one at birth.

Congrats to our Isabella Oliver winner

Congratulations to LeAnn F. in GA for winning the Isabella Oliver giveaway (a maternity swim suit!)

Look for more giveaways soon and check out Isabella Oliver for sales on their summer clothes.

Manage your child's time outs

My son is just getting to the age where time outs are becoming a necessity. As I began to introduce this method of discipline, I stumbled upon an adorable yet functional product to help both of us with time outs... the Time Out Lamby.

This sweet, soft and plush lamb provides companionship to active toddlers in need of some quiet time. The hour timer on the belly of the lamb helps toddlers to learn the concept of time and to know when their time out is over. (Using a timer with a bell was actually recommended to me by my pediatrician to help with my son's frustration when leaving the playground or other fun activities. You can say "when the Lamby's bell rings, in 5 minutes, we will need to leave")

You can use the Time Out Lamby beyond time outs as well. Use it to oversee TV time, homework periods, or clean-up time. Children will love the extremely soft and squeezable body, too.

You can get Time Out Lamby for $25 at the very hip Uncommon Goods.

Celebrating World Breastfeeding Week: The Nursing Curtain

Today marks the first day of World Breastfeeding Week, and in honor, we'll hopefully have some more breastfeeding-related reviews for you. Here's one great product for breastfeeders: the Nursing Curtain from Mommy's Little Monkey.

It's another great product designed to allow you to breastfeed in public discreetly and comfortably. The "curtain" draps over your neck with a ring at the top of the curtain that snaps closed (ensuring that it doesn't get pulled off by busy baby hands), and it falls over the rest of your chest to cover up. You can easily see baby by raising the ring to peek and see how he/she is doing.

They offer two options - lined (for additional coverage and warmth) and unlined (for hot summer days like those we are experiencing now!)

Use coupon code MLMONKEY10 for 10% off your order. Both the lined and unlined Nursing Curtains are on sale now so shop now to apply your code and get even more of a discount.
