Little Seed Organic Children’s Clothes

I am quickly learning that comfort is key most days when dressing my son. Of course we all need those “nicer” outfits, but let’s face it, they aren’t always made for all the moving around our little ones do. The Little Seed line of clothing brings you comfort and style with their eco-friendly line of children’s clothes.

Founded by Paige Goldberg Tolmach and Soleil Moon Frye, The Little Seed is now one of the leading lifestyle brands for eco-friendly and organic products for children. The Little Seed launched it’s own line of brightly colored, incredibly soft, low-impact clothing for infants and children-coined Green in Every Color; it’s all manufactured here in the USA.

With products ranging from onesies to blankets…hoodies to dresses and with sizes from 0 months to 8 years, The Little Seed can bring your child of any age the softest clothes in a variety of colors.

The Little Seed Promise says it all!

We believe that our planet’s future is our children’s future. By employing the lowest carbon footprint methods to manufacture our product we stand by that belief. Our garments are produced with low-impact dyes on raw/organic cotton, 100% made in the USA with love and care for the healthiest lifestyle possible for our families and yours… Because a little eco goes a long way!

What is not to like about these clothes? I think one of my favorite things is the choice of color. There is so much “drab” and “blah” out there in the world of children’s clothes, and The Little Seed allows you to bring a little fun into your child’s wardrobe.

With The Little Seen you can feel good about buying clothes for you child that not only feel good on them, but feels good for you to buy them!

I was provided with an outfit from The Little Seed for the purposes of this review. As always all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Giveaway: No Slippy Hair Clippy

I have been a long time fan of No Slippy Hair Clippy. I discovered them when I had my daughter, now 5, and loved them for their beautiful clips, bows and headbands and their quality. They were one of the only clips I could find that would stay in her hair. They have a velvet lined, patent pending alligator clip that keeps the clip from slipping out, it also does not break or damage hair, and is super comfortable. Best of all they are great for all different ages. No Slippy Hair Clippy offers great smaller styles as well as wrap around headbands that are both appropriately sized and gentle enough for baby, but they also have offerings for toddlers and young girls through their teens.

No Slippy Hair Clippy has recently introduced a new line, Clipettes, modern grosgrain lined no-slip hair clips.  These adorable clips come in an array grosgrain bows and ribbon prints such as multi dots, colorful stripes, animal prints, ladybugs, and more.  They have a non-slip grip that will hold securely without damaging hair. And they only start at $2.95.

No Slippy Hair Clippy is running a giveaway through November 17th for a lucky MWS reader to win a $50 gift certificate to No Slippy Hair Clippy.  To enter “like” No Slippy Hair Clippy on Facebook, follow them on Twitter (iclippy) and/or follow their blog noslippyhairclippy.blogspot.com. Be sure to come back here and leave a comment for each one to let us know you have done so. Each one will count as an additional entry.

No Slippy Hair Clippy will also be offering MWS readers a 25% off discount by using code “MWS100“  This promotion will run through November 17th (excluding gifts, and not to be combined with any other promotion).

Robeez Sesame Street 3D Booties

I’ve got a huge thing for Sesame Street, having grown up on it, so I was so excited to get these in the mail last week — 3D Cookie Monster Robeez Booties ($40). Right now my little man isn’t walking more than 4 steps and is in the baby carrier or the stroller when we’re out, so these booties are perfect for keeping his feet warm during this fall weather. Plus they stay on his feet and will keep them nice and cozy! And the fact they have Cookie Monster on them make them even better! [Read more...]

Olive Juice: Kids Clothes With A Cause

I am not sure about you, but I love buying clothes for my son. I truly enjoy getting him dressed in the morning, although I am sure he wouldn’t agree! The problem is that he grows out of his clothes so fast, that sometimes I feel bad about all the clothes I buy. Wouldn’t it be nice to know that buying your child’s clothes could actually be doing a GOOD thing? Well, if you buy Olive Juice kid’s clothes than you will be!

Olive Juice, a maker of classic and European inspired childrenswear, is providing hope for kids in need through a new partnership with Clothes4Souls, the apparel division of one of the fastest growing charities in the world, Soles4Souls. In a “buy one, give one effort, Olive Juice will provide one item of clothing for every item purchased through the special microsite www.olivejuicegives.com. These donated items will then go to a child in need with the help of Clothes4Souls. Now if that doesn’t make shopping for your kids a feel good experience I don’t know what does!?

Olive Juice was founded in 2003 by Maryellen Kane based on the belief that parents should have the opportunity to choose from a quality brand of clothing for their children at a reasonable price. The clothes are casual, comfortable and fun. I found it interesting that they even had some unisex items.

My son has this playtime hoodie ($32.50) and it is so soft! I look forward to having him wear this in the fall.

With a few clicks of the mouse you are able to get your child some great looking clothes AND help children in need! If you ever needed an excuse to shop you have one now.

I was provided with clothes from Olive Juice for the purposes of this review. As always all thoughts and opinions are my own.

SoothTIME’s zzzTime Sleep Solutions

Anything that helps a baby sleep more is a good thing! A swaddle blanket is usually the first step to that, but sometimes can be tricky to configure tightly so your baby doesn’t kick out of it.  SootheTIME offers some adorable spruced up swaddles in their new line of infant sleep essentials, zzzTime (pronounced z-time). For newborns, the Snooze Wrap™ Plus ($24.99) is an easy way to swaddle and offers head support, tummy comfort wraps, and the adjustable pocket grows with baby. [Read more...]

Baby Sophia Gifts – Now Selling Dresses!

For years now, my staple newborn gift present has been from Baby Sophia Gifts.  You can see that I’ve reviewed them before.  The owner happens to be a good friend of mine but that’s certainly not why I review her products – I review them because simply her products are fabulous newborn baby gifts.

She embroiders bibs and burp clothes with initials and baby’s name.  New Moms love personalized items and a bib and burp cloth makes an affordable and classy gift.  I love bringing a set to a hospital when I plan ahead.

Baby Sophia Gifts now offers a new product – Baby and Toddler Dresses for little girls. Personalize baby’s dress with an embroidered initial and a matching ribbon and this makes the ultimate gift.  Even better, the dresses are $22 each – a great price for a personalized gift.

Check out BabySophiaGifts.com – get free shipping on orders over $50 – be sure and mention Mommies  with Style at checkout so they know where you came from!

Disney Baby Introduces the Cuddly Bodysuit

Disney Baby just introduced their Disney Cuddly Bodysuit line. We love it for several reasons. The biggest reason is that  it grows with your baby, with two rows of snaps, one under the other –  because we know that babies usually grow longer, rather than wider. We also liked that it easily fits over baby’s head and the two rows of snaps in the bottom area were reinforced and strong. While it comes in standard white cotton rib, it also comes in other textiles – drop needle (sets of 5 lines), and pointelle (a delicate cotton made with a pattern of tiny openings).

Anniewear.com : Unique Baby Gifts That Help Animals In Need

There are a ton of websites out there that sell baby products, but how many can say that they also help to serve a cause?? I don’t know the exact number, but if I had to guess I’d say NOT MANY! One site that can say that is Annie Wear , which is a site that offers animal themed items for newborns, toddlers and kids up to a size 7. Who doesn’t like animal items??

The most rewarding aspect of AnnieWear is that portions of their sales are passed on to animal rescues. At least while you are shopping you can know you are doing something good at the same time! The site offers items in the categories of accessories, Apparel, bath time, bed time, blankets, footwear, hats, toys, gifts, for mom,  and outerwear. Not only do they sell some brands you may know like the Aden and Anais muslin sleep sacks, they also created their own product line. The Life Line and the Annie Line! Both offer 100% ring-spun combed cotton onesies and T-shirts in traditional and contemporary colors. The Annie Line features cute little Annie the dog.

Some featured brands on the site are:

  • Aden + Anais offers muslin swaddle blankets, hooded towels, and washcloths. Muslin is a great material for newborns because it maintains breathability, as well as baby’s body temperature
  • B’Amici – Check out B’Amici if you want a cute gift for a newborn without having to think! Packaged in sweet storybook boxes, their layette sets are no-brainer hits.
  • Kicky Pants makes nearly all of their products from bamboo. Softer than silk, bamboo is the best material for babies with sensitive skin.
  • Picolo Bambino offers such plush stuffed animals, lovies, and blankets that we just had to get them! See for yourself why we adore their products.

Among many others!

Annie Wear has something for everyone, and is a great place to buy yourself or someone else that special gift. Plus you can feel good that you are helping out animals in need.

Annie Wear is offering the Mommies With Style readers a 15% discount! Just use the code BLOG2011 at check out!

Bambeeno Cashmere: Cashmere Clothes For Kids!

When it comes to kids clothes I am all about the sale. Especially when it comes to every day items, but sometimes, just like adult clothes, it is nice to have a few classic, well made pieces that can grow with your child, and last. What better material is there for that than cashmere? I know I loved to be wrapped in it, so why wouldn’t your child? Bambeeno Cashmere is composed of timeless cashmere and knitwear essentials to keep your little one dressed in style and sophistication.

Bambeeno Cashmere is an Atlanta based company that produces luxury cashmere knitwear items for children ages newborn – 12 years of age.  Made with some of the softest cashmere on the market , children will feel as good as they look.  Items range from crewneck tees and polos for boys, to pretty cardigans and dresses for girls, and even newborn sets and cashmere accessories for baby. In addition to the pure cashmere line,  Bambeeno Cashmere also offers an array of cotton/ cashmere knitwear containing beautiful layette pieces for the season. This is the type of piece that I tried. I have a navy blue cotton/cashmere sweater, which is 90% cotton and 10% cashmere. The sweater is so soft! It will be perfect for spring, or those cool summer nights.  My little guy is going to be stylin!

The only downfall I see is that these items need to be hand washed. Although I am new to the mommy thing, I have already come to learn that “easy” is key. Therefore, hand washing can be a bit of a chore. But I plan to use the sweater when a “nice” outfit is needed, which isn’t all the time, and so I think it will be fine.

Overall the Bambeeno Cashmere sweater is a well made piece, and I am excited for my guy to wear it. Don’t we all need a little luxury in our lives when it comes to our clothes? Why not pass on that same luxury to our kids??

I was provided with a Bambeeno Cashmere sweater for the purposes of this review. As always, all opinions are my own.

The clothes are FLYING out of the store and online, so if you want to snatch some up for your tots, get a move on!

My 3 year old daughter is rocking the Dark Pink/Navy Striped Open Back Dress ($14.99). This fun dress has a open back with three tiers of ruffles underneath (in a diagonal thinner striped pattern). The price is terrific and she looked great. We paired it with matching pink tights and black pediped Giselle Mary Janes. You can still find it in certain stores, but it’s sold out online. The little boys’ clothes were scrumptious too!Lots of cute stripes (narrow and wide). We checked out White Raglan Crew Tee ($12.99), which is sold only in stores. I love the navy raglan sleeves and the cute kelly green band on the neck and hem. We loved the Long-Sleeve Full Front Zip Hoodie ($17.99) which matched it – complete with thin blue and white stripes and green and navy accents. Finishing the outfit are matching navy Knit Pant with Porkchop Pocket ($12.99, stores only). For a little more of a dressy look for my little guy, we liked the Grey Long Sleeve Striped 2fer Polo ($12.99). Besides going well with the navy knit pants we mentioned above, they also coordinate with the grey version of the Knit Pant with Porkchop Pocket ($12.99, stores only). There’s a lot more available in the collection like bibs and onesies for babies, plus more dresses, pants, shirtshoodies — definitely worth checking out!

Shop with Zulily

Image and video hosting by TinyPicAs a busy mom of 3 (including an infant), I do most of my shopping online. I’m always looking for a bargain and LOVE those members only daily deal sites — and one of my favorite ones is zulily.

If you don’t know what zulily is, it gives parents daily deals on unique and hot brands at up to 70% off retail prices.  I’ve already bought a lot of things for my kids, myself and as gifts on the site.

So when I was invited to meet the staff at an event in NYC last month, I had to go! I spoke to President and CEO Darrell Cavens, who used to be an executive for Blue Nile.  I was very impressed when he told me he wouldn’t put anything on zulily that he wouldn’t buy for his own family. He co-founded zulily to introduce parents to high quality boutique brands at significant discounts.

Diapers.com: Beyond Baby Care & a #Giveaway for $200 Gift Certificate

My youngest child has been out of diapers for over a year now so buying diapers and shopping somewhere like Diapers.com has not been on my radar. Until recently, when I received a note about participating in a campaign for Diapers.com to purchase and use the site for more than diapers.

More than diapers at Diapers.com?  I was curious to see how the site had grown since my last child potty trained and was pleasantly surprised at how much their offering had expanded since the last time I ordered.

I placed a big order for several products, none of which was diapers!  I got toys for my kids for Christmas, clothes and skin care products for my kids.  In searching for various products, I was able to find everything I was looking for.  Check out the array of Legos they offer!  (My kids are so into Legos right now, I was impressed with their selection.)

I also ordered this adorable Tea Collection Lion Double Decker Tee.  Then I was out of hand soap so I hopped over to body care and ordered several bottles of Burts Beeds Hand Soap.  Bottom line being that their offering has moved beyond diapers and their prices are competitive.  (Free shipping over $49!)

Just to give you an example the vast assortment of products you can buy for your family’s needs, check out this random assortment of products you can buy on Diapers.com:

Bravado Designs Nursing Tank - $49

Fisher Price IxL Learning System - $89.99

Basq Cucumber Tea Eye Gel - $24

3-pack of EPT Pregnancy Stick Tests - $13.99

Lego City Seaplane - $9.49

Shipping is free when your order is over $49 and no joke, my order came in a day and a half. They promise 1-2 day shipping and I placed my order late one night. It came not the next day but early the following morning; roughly 36 hours.

Giveaway: One lucky reader from Mommies with Style will win a $200 gift certificate to Diapers.com!  Comment below to enter.

This giveaway ends after Sunday, December 12th – one winner will be selected at random after that time.

Disclosure:  I was given compensated and given a credit to spend at Diapers.com to facilitate this post.

The cutest, girly hoodie.

I have found the cutest little girly hoodie for my daughter.  Now I could tell you that I love to put her in hoodies because they’re comfortable, or practical, or that they keep her warm.  The truth of the matter is that I love wearing them, and anything in miniature size is just adorable.  The ruffled zip up hoodie by b. children’s wear is, by far, the cutest hoodie that I have for my daughter, and if it came in adult sizes I would wear it!  On the practical side, it washes very well and has been great for layering on the few chilly days we’ve had so far this fall.

The black hoodie (or “zippy” as my Irish friends would call it) is embellished with blue-green, jersey ruffles and is just darling.  It comes in sizes 3-6months to a Youth 12.  (I’m going to work on that adult size…)  They come pre-shrunk, so it’s best to order a size larger than normal.  The ruffled zip up hoodie retails for $34 and can be purchased on b. children’s wear’s etsy site along with some other adorablely, unique items like onesies and t-shirts.  Plus, if you place an order of more than $50 by the end of October with b. children’s wear you will receive free shipping!

A sample of this product was provided for review on Mommies with Style.

Hats Off to HeartSmiles

The cutest little girls deserve the cutest little girl accessories.  That’s why I am loving the handmade hats at HeartSmiles.  Whether for photo props or just to keep your little one’s head toasty, these hats are just adorable.  Each design has special little detailing like layered flowers, vintage lace, glass pearls, or ear flaps.  They’re designed to “give your heart smiles!”

Sizes start at newborn and go up to pre-teen, but you can also special order adult sizes (they’re so beautiful you just may want one for yourself!). I’m planning to order a few for birthday gifts, though they’d also make great Christmas presents.   They even offer some cute boy styles so that no one is left out.  The hats are very reasonabley priced, starting at $20.00.  Plus, mention Mommies with Style when you order to receive 20% off!

HeartSmiles is giving away a hat to one lucky Mommies with Style reader.  Simply leave a comment about what makes your heart smile.  A winner will be selected at random at the end of the month.

HeartSmiles provided a sample for review on Mommies with Style.

Too Too Cute Tutus are Just Too Too Cute

Whether she steps foot in a ballet class or not, every little girl deserves a frilly tutu!  Used for dress-up, a photo prop, or everyday wear, you can find the perfect tutu at Too Too Cute Tutus.  They offer handmade tutus in a rainbow of colors and even offer customized designs.  Offered in sizes Newborn – 7/8.

The Zebra Tutu sample that I received is flashy and fun with hot pink, white and black tulle and adorned with ribbon and a flower clip (which can be used as an adorable hair clip).  It’s stretchy enough to fit through several different  sizes, so it should last us for quite awhile.  And you can get a matching headband to match!

Another fun item that Too Too Cute offers is their pettiskirts.  Created with layers upon layers of frilly, silky fabric, these pettiskirts are so beautiful.  They’re so pretty and fun that I wish they offered one in my size!  Available in deep purple, bright fuchsia, princess pink, red, canary yellow, brown leopard and zebra pink, they are sure to look stunning in any photo of your little cutie.

The tutus and pettiskirts are available on Too Too Cute’s website along with bloomers, hats, bows and many other adorable items.  These make great gifts for any little girl in your life!  The best part is that prices for tutus start at just $17.00.  Plus, if you order by 8/31/10 you can use the coupon code Mommies15 and receive 15% off!
