Totes Snow Boots at Sears – $34.98, Plus 20% Off (Ending Today)

During our surprise snowstorm in October, I realized I needed to update a lot of snow accessories for my boys.  Both of them needed new boots, as they had grown out of their previous pairs over the summer.

We received this pair of Totes Boys Boots from Sears for Nate recently and I’m impressed with both the quality and the price!  I sometimes find it tough to justify spending a fortune on something that’s going to be grown out of after a year but boots are a tough one.  I don’t want to mess with quality when it comes to a snow boot since it’s so important when the kids are out in the cold snow!

While we have yet to try them in the snow, Nate has tried them on and said they feel “very warm and soft!”  And you can not beat the price – $34.98 for a pair.  Plus Sears is participating in Cyber Monday deals all week and shoes and boots are 20% off ending today (Dec 1st).  Add them to your cart and the discount will appear.

They also have free shipping through the end of January on all boots.

Back to School with Crocs: Comfort, Style, Fun for The Kids

Do you not just love these new Crocs Boys’ Hover Sneakers ($39.99), new for Back to School this fall from Crocs?  I do and I know I’m so excited to have Nate wear these in the fall with a pair of jeans or khakis.  They are both stylish and comfy and most importantly, they passed the kid-approved test:  ”Yeah Mom.  These are cool, I’ll wear them,” he said.

And I love these girls’ shoes pictured above, the Crocs Keely Mary Jane that you can get for an affordable $24.99.

These aren’t the only new shoes from Crocs either.  Check out their entire new line of Back to School Crocs shoes and get ordering for the upcoming school season before they sell out.

Crocs offers free shipping on orders over $69.

Disclaimer:  I received a pair of free Crocs to facilitate this review.

Fashion Friday: Check Out my Stylin’ Guys in #Sanuk Beach Shoes

Photos won’t do these totally awesome “comfier than sandals” shoes by Sanuk.  We’re currently down at the beach and we’re admittedly moving in slo-mo mode meaning everything’s very casual and laid back.  When my brother in law came back from a trip to our favorite store for clothes (B&B Department Store) wearing a pair of these Sanuk shoes, I knew we needed to get a pair for hubby.

Something about these shoes shout preppy and “duuuuuuuuuude” to me at the same time.  And hubby and Nate are enthralled; they haven’t taken them off since we bought them several days ago, proclaiming these are the most comfortable pair of shoes they own.  (Nate has been opting to wear these over flip flops, if that tells you anything.)

Hubby’s wearing a pair of Hey Jute ($60) and Nate (age 7) is wearing the Standard Kids ($42).  Check ‘em out.  They make stylin’ looking flip flops too.  You can buy on the Sanuk.com website, on Zappos.com or Amazon.com.

Never lose a thing again with Name Bubbles

For years now I have been labeling my kids clothes and belongings (cups, hats, shoes, etc) with either permanent marker, or what I like to call “boring” labels (simple white labels that I need to iron or stick on that have their name on them).

Recently I was super excited to come across Name Bubbles, an incredible, durable product to easily label anything your kids use and lose. The labels are not only diswasher, laundry, and microwave safe, but they are colorful and cute and actually enhance the look of your belongings! They have a simple press-and-stick application, so there is no ironing and no mess!

I got to try their camp pack for each of my boys, which is perfect for the upcoming camp season. The camp pack includes 109 labels in a variety of styles and colors, and all of the labels resist sunscreen and bug spray. I can easily label my boys clothing with the Bubble Itz, adorable and colorful circular labels that stick on to clothing tags or directly on the clothes. Bubble Toes are great for making sure my kids water shoes and sneakers come home with them each day. And the variety of sizes of other labels are perfect for backpacks, lunch boxes, and other gear.

The best two things about Name Bubbles that set them apart from other similar types of companies is their variety of great looking and colorful styles to choose from, as well as the opportunity to put your phone number or address on some of the smaller clothing labels. When I use the Name Bubbles on my kids clothes, I actually feel like I am enhancing their clothes instead of marking them up with something ugly or something hard-to-read.

You can also use Name Bubbles to alert others of allergy or medical needs, on your luggage instead of a traditional luggage tag, and on your baby bottles and sippy cups (check out the adorable designs!)

Now is the perfect time to stock up on these fun and super-functional labels which you will find yourself using all of the time… from sports to school to camp and everything in between! Place an order of $50 or more and receive free shipping! No code necessary.

I received complementary samples for this review from Name Bubbles, however, as always, all opinions are my own.

Creating a Runner with New Balance Kids Sneakers

A box of New Balance Kids sneakers showed up on our doorstep the other day. They were in a size 1, the same size as my 7 year old son.  I can only assume the shoes came from Mom 2.0 Summit (thanks New Balance folks!)

My son was so excited. It doesn’t take much and apparently he was “really wanting a new pair of sneakers!”  He’s also very impressed with his masterful shoe-tying abilities these days so out went the old velco pair and in with the new New Balance pair.  This particular pair, the New Balance 860 is designed for grade school runners with plenty of shock absorbtion, support and cushioning.

But here’s the kicker.  The tongue of the shoes says “running” so he’s now proclaimed he has special running powers and will be able to go running with me when I go out for a jog.  I love it!

The New Balance 860s are normally $44.99 but are currently on sale for $39.99 at NewBalance.com.

Vincent Girls’ Snow Boots – Normally $79.95, down to $19.95

Some of you may remember that I posted in April that I had received word that Vincent Shoes would be closing.  I’m still bummed about it as they were one of my favorite spots for getting children’s shoes!

As they continue to try and empty their shelves of all of their inventory, prices continue to drop.  Love these MONA winter boots for girls.  They’re normally $79.95 but down to $19.95 with lots of sizes still available.

Or you can just visit Vincent Shoes and see what else you love – pretty much everything is for sale at a great price point at this points so while it’s sad they are closing you might as well take advantage and stock up on some great shoes while they are still available.

Little’s Snow-Stylin’ Stride Rite Boots

Little’s feet are small. So small, that it took many stores turning me away saying, “sorry, we don’t make snow boots that small” to make me give up on letting her go out to play. So sad for Little.

SNOW4

But last week on the way out of the mall, I popped into Stride Rite, asking them to measure her again. 4 1/2 made her big enough, finally, for a pair of boots! The salesperson recommended waterproofing spray, which I was quick to snatch up, and we ran home to spray.

She practiced wearing her Wallaroo boots the past few days, even wearing them dancing at music class with a cute little mini skirt and tights. Today, she tried them out in the ice on the driveway and in the snow. While she took some slides, there were no spills. These rubber-soled shoes had amazing traction and support for her ankles, and she stayed upright the entire time while playing on the ice.

I was also concerned about her little toes getting cold, and snow working its way into the socks while playing in the snow. There were no complaints and when we finally came in about an hour later, her toes were dry, and fairly warm.

The Wallaroo boots are on sale at Stride Rite. If you’re little is dying to go outside and experience the snow, race to the mall and grab these. (Just make sure you spray them with NAME first. It takes 24 hours to set in, but she’ll be a snow-bunny by the weekend.)

Or order from Shoebuy where you can use code WINTER15 to save 15% and recieve free shipping.

Star Wars Sneakers by Stride Rite – Get Your Darth On!

Image and video hosting by TinyPicMy five year old son is wild about Star Wars, so we were thrilled when Stride Rite asked us if we’d like to review something from their new line of Star Wars branded sneakers.  The Star Wars branded sneakers feature characters that were in the 3 original movies, plus the Clone Wars Movie and Series on Cartoon Network. Choose from Darth Vader, General Grevious, Boba Fett, Jedi, and even the Milenium Falcon (on sale for $29 in a skate style in Kids)!

We fell in love with their Captain Rex Lighted Sneakers ($55). I have to confess, I don’t watch the Clone Wars, but my husband does and he thought Captain Rex was a great choice — Captain Rex is from Star Wars’ Clone Wars Movie and has more of a role in the cartoon on the Cartoon Network  These fun light-up sneakers are great quality and have a flexible outsole, hook and loop closure and a pearlized leather upper.  Sizes range from toddler to older kid and are geared to boys.

Shop with Zulily

Image and video hosting by TinyPicAs a busy mom of 3 (including an infant), I do most of my shopping online. I’m always looking for a bargain and LOVE those members only daily deal sites — and one of my favorite ones is zulily.

If you don’t know what zulily is, it gives parents daily deals on unique and hot brands at up to 70% off retail prices.  I’ve already bought a lot of things for my kids, myself and as gifts on the site.

So when I was invited to meet the staff at an event in NYC last month, I had to go! I spoke to President and CEO Darrell Cavens, who used to be an executive for Blue Nile.  I was very impressed when he told me he wouldn’t put anything on zulily that he wouldn’t buy for his own family. He co-founded zulily to introduce parents to high quality boutique brands at significant discounts.

Diapers.com: Beyond Baby Care & a #Giveaway for $200 Gift Certificate

My youngest child has been out of diapers for over a year now so buying diapers and shopping somewhere like Diapers.com has not been on my radar. Until recently, when I received a note about participating in a campaign for Diapers.com to purchase and use the site for more than diapers.

More than diapers at Diapers.com?  I was curious to see how the site had grown since my last child potty trained and was pleasantly surprised at how much their offering had expanded since the last time I ordered.

I placed a big order for several products, none of which was diapers!  I got toys for my kids for Christmas, clothes and skin care products for my kids.  In searching for various products, I was able to find everything I was looking for.  Check out the array of Legos they offer!  (My kids are so into Legos right now, I was impressed with their selection.)

I also ordered this adorable Tea Collection Lion Double Decker Tee.  Then I was out of hand soap so I hopped over to body care and ordered several bottles of Burts Beeds Hand Soap.  Bottom line being that their offering has moved beyond diapers and their prices are competitive.  (Free shipping over $49!)

Just to give you an example the vast assortment of products you can buy for your family’s needs, check out this random assortment of products you can buy on Diapers.com:

Bravado Designs Nursing Tank - $49

Fisher Price IxL Learning System - $89.99

Basq Cucumber Tea Eye Gel - $24

3-pack of EPT Pregnancy Stick Tests - $13.99

Lego City Seaplane - $9.49

Shipping is free when your order is over $49 and no joke, my order came in a day and a half. They promise 1-2 day shipping and I placed my order late one night. It came not the next day but early the following morning; roughly 36 hours.

This giveaway ends after Sunday, December 12th – one winner will be selected at random after that time.

My Cute New Brown Sandals – On Clearance at DSW for $19.99, Plus Coupon Code for Free Shipping

Last week, I placed a quick order at DSW.com.   I needed a new pair of black and brown sandals for my trip tomorrow up to New York City and the BlogHer conference.  Hard pressed for time, I decided to do the online thing.

It ended up being a great deal because there is free shipping on orders over $35, and you can use your DSW rewards card – which not only gave me points towards a future purchase, but $10 off as I apparently had a $10 off coupon in my account that I didn’t know about.  Score!
