When Nate was a toddler (he’s now 10), I was at a park with him in Florida with my Mom. We were visiting my parents and my Mom and I had taken Nate for an hour to play at the local playground. I didn’t yet have Cole and I don’t remember being pregnant so Nate had to have been 2 or less which means this story is 8 years old. I’m telling you all of these random details because you’ll laugh when you hear what I’m bringing up, knowing how old this story is.
There was a bag at the park that day. It belonged to another Mom with gorgeous red hair. It was beautiful. I watched her carry it around; she was there with a group of other Moms and small kids and I kept thinking, “I HAVE to ask her where she got it! That’s the ONE!!!!”
Only, for whatever reason I never asked. I kept thinking I’d ask when she came closer or I’d go over in a few minutes. The next thing I knew, beautiful red hair and gorgeous bag were gone.
I still think about that bag. 8 years later. Swear to God. I’d sort of been on a hunt to find a bag like it since then. It was dark brown, had studs of some kind on the outside and almost had a slight western design to it. Not the type of thing I’d normally pick out but it was just soooo gorgeous. Who knew?
Today’s Fashion Friday is in honor of my Bag that Got Away. A tragic fashion love story.
I’ve picked out a few bags that have similar features to THE BAG but aren’t the one. Someday I’ll find it and it’ll be an epic purchase but in the meantime, here’s some close second choices:
Louis Vuitton, $2,250.00 (yah right!)
