See
Kai Run: Only a parent could
name her brand after watching her child run, or attempt
to run, again and again and again. Which is what toddler
moms love to do. And what toddlers need are good shoes,
made to fit her feet. See
Kai Run shoes are made for the growing toddler,
with little to no arch, a wide base and SUPER flexible
soles, we loved SKRs from the minute our son started
walking. And you can't miss the classic style. For
a toddler, See Kai Run shoes are the perfect gift
pick!

Pediped
Footwear: These
shoes are just SO soft. Pediped(TM)
Footwear Baby Soft-soled shoes are made of a soft-pliable
leather with a pigskin lining. The soles are two layers
of leather, sandwiching a foam cushion to give the
baby more comfort and handstitched which allows for
ventilation and increases the durability. For ease
and comfort, all Pediped(TM) Footwearclose with velcro.
That means no elastic bands squeezing those pudgy
ankles, plus they're adjustable and Pediped Footwear
are appropriate for indoor and outdoor use.
A great gift for babies and toddlers, Pedipeds(TM)
Footwear will ship free with code mwsfree.
Rileyroos: A
fairly new product in the soft-soled shoes world,
Rileyroos have
a little something different. Their soles have small
areas of rubber, cushioning the foot in all the right
spots. The rubber is framed in an ever-so-soft leather,
which is hand-sewn to the top of the shoe, allowing
for breath, movement and growth. Elastic laces enable
additional growth and movement, and the shoes stay
secure with a large velcro strap. Ankles and skin
are protected by a thick, cushioned collar. Actually,
RileyRoos really combine all my favorite soft-soled
elements into one baby shoe.
A bit more for the narrow footed, Rileyroos
are available in sizes 6-12 and 12-18 months, with
18-24 slated to arrive in the next few weeks. Select
from a sharp and sporty shoe, cute and embellished,
moccassins and Caters, boots that will keep babies
toes super warm this winter.
Sweet
Shoes: Sweet
Shoes rock... and I'm not talking Rock a Bye Baby
rock, I mean Rock and Roll with Gene Simmons rock.
They're edgy, with velvety leather and bones and lightening-like
waves detail. The colors are bright and engaging.
What I love about these soft-soled shoes is that they
close with two bands of velcro... so they look just
like big brother's. And they slide on SO easily--the
tongue opens wide enough to practically place baby's
foot right in. They move really easily, allowing lots
of room for width adjustment to fit nicely at all
the right spots.
For the ultra-cool, living life on the edge, the beach
or the city baby, these shoes will be a great gift.
And they're now available up to size 24 months (which
actually fits my size 7.5 Wide son's feet--with growing
room!) Use coupon code MOMS
at Kitsel to receive 10% off your entire order.
Robeez:
A
big name in baby shoes, Robeez
has an embellishment for every occasion. They just
introduced a new holiday line, and continue to promote
their free limited edition matching socks program.
Amongst other new products are the Shoe Bundles, newborn
gifts that grow with the baby: a collection of items
for baby stages. These soft-soeld leather shoes are
super soft, and the elastic keeps the shoes firmly
on baby's feet. Robeez shoe sizes range for 0-6 months
through 4 years, and we've found that even 4 year
olds truly benefit from soft-soles. The most crucial
foot development occurs during the earliest stage
of walking, but the foot muscles continue to develop
through youth, and the longer children wear soft-soels,
the better.

Bobux: Of
all of the soft-soled shoes we've tried, Bobux
are the widest, so they slip on easily over all types
of socks. I even found myself recommending them to
a friend today who was saying that her one-year-old
is in double-wide shoes. And while they go on loosely,
there's nothing loose about these shoes. The elastic
ankle fits snugly, comfortably.
They turned their characters around. The faces face
the baby. So when he looks down, there's a cute tiger
looking up at him, rather than an upside down tiger
that looks cute for the grandparents to oogle over.

Vincent Shoes
Vincent
Shoes has everything: hightops, rainboots, Mary
Janes, cowboys boots and classic sneakers. This Euro-shoe
maker is becoming uber-popular in the online crowd,
and for good reason. The shoes are, according to my
4 year old, very comfortable, and very easy to wear.
And you can tell by the images they're also very creative
looks!
If you're gifting Vincent, look to the boots or slippers
for something a little different from the norm. They
offer baby sizes through Child 3.5, so Vincent is
a great choice for sending a whole family shoes, but
you needed worry about exact fit because exchanges
are free.

Oh!Five: Just
the cutest little, little kid shoes. SO flexible,
yet their unique rubber dot soles allow for a non-slip
gripper, as well as a little lift off the ground,
making these shoes great early walkers for quick walks
on the sidewalk or a playdate at the park.
Butter soft leather, with a plush, very padded, interior,
Oh! Five
Sports slip on so easily because of the velcro closure
as well as the tongue that flips back, allowing them
to "act" like big kid shoes--or even like
Mommy's Pumas (notice the resemblance?) And their
other shoes are just as "real shoe" looking--check
out the Baby Classics for a dress shoe like Daddy's
look. If you want to gift shoes that look like a big
kid's, the choice is clear.
For
kids and adults:
Gifting shoes to babies is easy...
they're all adorable, they're all likely to fit, and
they're great accessories. But gifting shoes to big
kids and adults... not so simple. Unless you have
a specific wish list request which includes size,
width, brand, name and color, there's just no easy
way to gift shoes.
Or
not. We checked out gift certificate programs from
several of the leading online shoe outlets.
Zappos:
The Gift Certificate arrives in the inbox of the
giftee the minute you pay. Both delivery and return
shipping is free and easy. The shoes are a little
pricier, but there's a great selection and fast
service, and they, like all the other sites, offer
a price guarantee. If she'll need the shoe this
week, send her a Zappos Gift Certificate.
Shoes.com:
Offers free shipping and free return shipping through
UPS. Shipping takes a bit longer than others, but
the shoe prices are fantastic and they offer a 115%
price guarantee. Last time we checked, the coupon
code luckybreaks7 gave us a 25% discount. Unfortunately,
gift cards are not available at shoes.com. According
to Jennie in customer service, "you can send
items as a gift, but you can't do a gift card."
endless.com:
For a limited time, Endless.com is paying you for
overnight shipping. Usually, they ship overnight
for free, but right now you'll get $5 back when
you purchase shoes here. Good deal! We don't know
when the special offer ends, so if you're planning
to buy shoes, you should act on that right now.
Endless Shoes and Handbag's site is very user-friendly
with a great selection and elimination process.
As for gift certificates, we couldn't find any available
on their site. So if you're gifting, skip this one.
piperlime.com:
As with all the rest, Piperlime offers free shipping
and free returns for the shoes. Piperlime is launching
their gift cards on October 31, so your giftee will
be amongst the first to receive one If she isn't
already on Piperlime's e-mail list, suggest she
join. Piperlime offers unique coupon codes via e-mail.
To to get a special discount, you must subscribe.
A member of the Gap company, Gap gift cards do not
yet work here, but Gap is planning to expand the
Options Card (currently good at Gap, Old Navy and
Banana Republic) to include Piperlime by the holidays.
Your gift card will be mailed to you via first class
mail, so plan appropriately.
shoebuy.com:
Again, offering free shipping and free returns as
well as a 110% price guarantee. You can also search
by width, which is very helpful for the narrow-
or wide-footed. When you purchase a shoebuy gift
card, you select the exact amount and the date you
want to gift certificate to arrive to your giftee.
Nordstrom.com:
A Nordstrom card can be purchased in store or on
the web, but you'll save by purchasing on the web
because standard shipping is free and it arrives
in a pretty package. 2-day shipping is available
for a $10 fee. Buyers now have the option of purchasing
a virtual gift card, which arrives immediately in
the giftee's inbox for immediate shopping. Minimum
gift card price is $25. This is the only shop on
our list where the giftee could order something
beyond shoes, athletic-wear and hand-bags. However,
she'll also be charged $5 shipping for her shoes,
unless Nordstrom is offering a free shipping option.
These
reviews and picks were done by Julie. A research-based
shopper, Julie spends too many hours working to find
the greatest gifts. This year adding to the stress,
she's hoping to only give gifts that won't be recalled
in the coming weeks after the holiay season.
Julie's hoping for a peaceful, low-stress holiday
season with her family. A date night or two wouldn't
be so bad either!
