Games have always been a favorite with my children. They love games that are both fun and educational. They enjoy playing games by themselves, with each other, and with the family. Games are a great way to bring the family together for some fun!
So, if you’re in the market for something this Christmas that will keep your children entertained, while encouraging them to learn at the same time, look no further than ThinkFun! Being a teacher, I believe having fun is a great way to learn, and that’s what ThinkFun games are all about. ThinkFun games challenge the mind and help develop important learning skills.
ThinkFun offers a range of games for children in key stages of growth and learning. Their games have won over 200 awards. I have six of their games and my children and I have a lot of fun playing them. So grab your holiday shopping list and add some of these to it……..
Tipover is a fun, three-dimensional game of strategy. Conceptual and strategic, this game introduces players to spatial relationships and the laws of cause and effect. River Crossing and River Crossing Jr. are both perilous plank games. With an imaginative game design, fun challenges, and a varying degree of difficulty, both of these game versions offer adventure and intrigue. My children enjoy the challenging adventures. Hoppers is a peg-solitaire game using colorful and humorous leap frogs. Since it’s small and compact, this is one we’ll pack for trips or rainy days. What’s Gnu? is a terrific word game. This fast-paced learning game requires rapid-fire word recognition and a great working vocabulary. My six year old just loves this one! Smart Mouth is a shout-it-out word game. This one is my seven year old daughters favorite. She enjoys the quick-thinking, fast paced action of this game.
Online sample versions of Tipover and River Crossing let you get a feel for the games.
