The word is out. And apparently, the word on the street is that I SHOP. I can only assume this from the flurry of unsolicited catalogs that have flooded my mailbox lately. They are largely junk and have a direct route from the mailbox to the recycle bin. However, I saved one such catalog en route, and am so happy I did! I'm a new fan of Hearthsong. They have tons of fun and unique things. Here are a few of my favorites:

For me: this cakesicle pan. I love to bake and I'm a sucker for cake pans. This one makes Popsicle-shaped cakes to frost and pop on a stick ... love them (and my kids will too)!

For my boys: this snow block maker. I have been looking for one of these for three winters - and have never found one before now. During the LONG (long, long, long!) Minnesota winters, our whole front yard is a giant snowfort. My kids (especially my biggest one, AKA, my husband) will love this! It ALMOST( but not quite) makes me dread the cold weather a little less. (Note: There's also a snowball maker, which is cute, but I'm not as impressed with it. I mean really, what self-respecting cold-weather dweller can't make a good snowball?).

For my daughter: This silver-plated tea set is way too cute, and at $19.95, it's a steal compared to similar sets I've seen. My daughter will be quite the hostess with this, and I think her Groovy Girl dolls will appreciate the five-star treatment!
