Have A Happy Easter With The Bright Starts Cotton Tale Collection

With Easter soon approaching, what better way to celebrate with your little one than with the Bright Starts Cottontale collection? I mean what screams Easter more than bunnies?? I know I can’t think of anything!

I personally tried the The Bright Starts Cotton tale Bouncer ($32.99) which is an adorable bunny bouncer that combines comfort and playtime fun for baby! This bouncer is machine washable and features extra soft fabrics and a removable head support for ultimate comfort. Other must have features? Seven melodies, a vibrating chair, a removable toy bar, and a 3 point harness to keep your baby in place. My little guy just started to swat at toys and loved hitting the ones that dangled from this bouncy seat. Anything to keep them occupied right?

Along with the bouncer in the cotton tail collection is the Cottontale Portable Swing $(59.99). Alone or together, both of these items would be perfect as an Easter gift, or for any soon to be mom. As a matter of fact, if you are looking to replace your old bouncy seat or swing, these would do the trick!

This year my little guy may not be able to enjoy his Easter candy (mommy sure can!), but he definitely can enjoy his Cotton talel Bouncer!

Make It Easy Feeding Products for Annabel Karmel and Infantino

The British children’s nutrition expert has written 18 books — I used her First Meals book as a guide and for puree recipes when my two oldest children started solids.

Aimed at making your own healthy baby food at home, the Make It Easy line offers 7 products, including a food mill, freezing trays, ice pop molds, and containers to hold meals. All products are BPA free. The Fresh Food Mill ($15.99) is an easy, manual way to puree and mince veggies and fruits. Silicone Freeze Tray ($9.99) is perfect for freezing and storing food. NUK Pacifiers -Newborn Approved!

I’ve tried a few other brands, but even at a week old — he knows the difference between NUK and the other brands. He will actually scream if I do not give him his NUK pacifier.

The dentists in my husband’s family approve of NUK, because of it’s orthodontic design. Newborn Neccessities: A Closet Full of No-Fuss Baby Clothes

Ok, so maybe you don’t really need a closet full of clothes for your newborn, but you certainly need enough to get you through diaper blowouts and spit-up attacks. At least until you can find time for the next load of laundry. Gianna has been most comfortable in no-fuss, simple, cotton onesies and footie pajamas, so we have plenty! I have lots of cute little outfits for photos and when she goes to visit, but I can tell that she feels the most relaxed when she’s just in basic cotton clothes…just like me. Go figure. That’s why no-fuss baby clothes are #8 on my list of newborn neccessities. Here are a few of the pieces that I especially like:

Zutano Itzy Bitzy – Gianna is a peanut, only weighing 6lbs. 1oz. when she was born. It took weeks for newborn-sized clothes to even fit her. Her Farm Fresh Long Sleeve Wrap Onesie from Zutano Itzy Bitzy was one of the first pieces of clothing to actually look nice on her. The wrap design made it so much easier to dress her, since I could just lay it out, stick her arms in the sleeves and wrap her up. Itzy bitzy is Zutano’s premier line of newborn and preemie clothing designed specifically to fit in the first few days of life. And that’s exactly what they do. Plus, all of their pieces come in fun and bright mix-and-match pieces perfect for gift giving! Zutano Itzy Bitzy can be purchased from their site or from a number of boutiques and online shops.

Positively Organic - These days organic clothing has become all the rage, for adults as well as kids and babies and probably for good reason. Positively Organic has some of the cutest outfits for infants, toddlers and bigger kids. Gianna has a long sleeved baby bodysuit with a photo of a baby bunny on the front. It’s so darn cute! The photo is a very high quality image transfer that hasn’t cracked, faded or bled the dozens of times it has already been washed and dried. Unlike many other organic clothing lines, Positively Organic has some really vibrant colored pieces with fun and bright designs. They also have a really cute story about how they came to be, and even though their comapny is highly successful, the founders still personally print each of the images on their clothing. Kicky Pants – Hands down, the softest, silkiest article of clothing that I have for Gianna is her Kicky Pants bamboo onesie. I absolutely love putting her in this. I have a cream colored one so she can wear it with pretty much any pair of pants that she has…and she does! Kicky Pants has a wide variety of infant, toddler, bigger kid and maternity clothing in cotton prints and bamboo basics; all in a variety of beautiful colors. Their clothing can be purchased at boutiques worldwide and several online shops all listed on their site.

Now with baby #3 on the way, I”m so excited to use the organic version. The Ultimate Crib Sheet is 4 products in one: A quick change sheet (it attaches via 10 elastic straps to your child’s crib rails), a mattress pad, super absorbent pad and waterproof pad. Nothing soaks through this sheet — we own a few of these Ultimate Crib Sheets and rotate them constantly in my 2 year old’s daughter’s crib.

Minimus: Don’t leave home without them

I recently went on vacation with my husband and two kids and we decided to test out a bunch of fabulous products that I will be reviewing over the next several weeks! I will be sharing my children’s and husband’s opinions as well.

The first product is one that we used over and over again and were thrilled that we had it with us. My husband was a bit skeptical about why we really needed it, but boy was he ever so thankful that we had it with us on the very first day of our 9-day vacation!

- We forgot shampoo for my kids’ baths and were thrilled to find California Baby Shampoo/Bodywash and Bubble Bath!

- The stall in the airport was out of toilet paper so the Charmin To Go was perfect!

- We had a few spills in the car and the Bounty to go Mini Roll of Paper Towels was the best!

There is so much more inside the kit as well. It even came with a small flashlight with batteries included. We were so impressed with this kit and couldn’t get over how many times it came in handy and made travel easier! We were so thankful to have it with us on our trip. It has found its new home in my car and has been great to have on the go!

We also received some travel games such as Candy Land Travel Fun On the Run and Tangoes which my kids loved playing on the plane and when we had down time. They were both the perfect size to travel with. Also, with airplane food a thing of the past, we were well-prepared on the plane with great travel friendly treats. My kids enjoyed the Squeezers Peanut Butter & Jelly combo and individually wrapped Ritz Cracker packages while my husband and I had the Wild Garden Hummus To Go and Cracked Wheat Wafers which were delicious. We all liked the Kool-Aid 2 Go packets which we just dropped in our water bottles!

Lil’ Tag Alongs: Strolling and playing are linked together

Julie’s baby is one week old: here’s what products she’s using

peanut-shell Hard to believe one week ago I already had my precious little one in my arms. Of course, it wasn’t hard to fall in love instantly. And once we arrived home, we really fell in love with some great baby products… old and new.

Not for the baby, but I recently shared that I’d be using my Lori Greiner Weekender bag for my hospital bag. Would you believe that I didn’t just fit my going home clothes, her going home clothes, 2 hospital gowns, make up, face wash, undies and a few nursing tanks? I also fit a blanket from Inspired Crib Bedding (which I shared with baby while freezing in my hospital room) and a big bathrobe? All in this little bag.

Baby Bonkie: I came home and it was FREEZING in my house. (Okay, it was 70^… hormones.) So I instantly wanted to warm her up. Without hesitation I reached for a pink Baby Bonkie. She cuddled inside and rested peacefully… and warmly. The huz agreed that it has to be one of the most comfortable looking “blanket things” he’s ever seen. Read my review here.

It was a hand-me-down from her big brother, but this one is loving the Fisher Price Baby Papasan Bouncer just as much as he did… if not more. It stays in my bathroom so that I’m guaranteed a good shower each day. And she’s SO comfortable that I”m sure she’d love it if I moved the bouncer from room to room.
